I just finished listening to the video that you sent and want to first say that I cannot begin to properly express my appreciation to you for having sent it. I have no doubt that you were led to send it as I have not been touched and convicted in this matter in so long that I can't remember how long it has been. I have 4 note cards full of things that I believe God has called to my attention for seriuos consideration and reflection.
Many of the things this man brings up are things that I had been made aware of through reading Tozer and Spurgeon as much as I do ; however
God has used this teaching to bring the concepts from my head to a more appropriate area ( my heart ).
I am right now under so much conviction that it is a little hard to type. God has , I believe , through this teaching challenged me to either go to a deeper committment to Him or to get out of His way. I assure you that I have no intention of leaving His word and way so the option of going into a deeper committment is the obvious option.
I have been given so much to consider that my poor old brain is reeling. I am very sincere and serious about that in spite of the way I phrased it.
I couldn't begin, myself, to know how to put this in the state of a forum but I will pray that God will give you the ability to format this in a way that God would bless and challenge others the way it has me. It is such a radical ( maybe that's not the best word) change from what much of the 'church world ' proclaims today but brings to mind the statement , I can't remember exactly where it is
(sorry) where the disciples were accused of being " these who have turned the world upside down". But then that is exactly what the gospel did and should be continuing to do.
I'd like to share something with you before I close.
As I am on this web site at times, for some reason,
I get a message on my screen that there is a run time error and the computer will be shutting down. It seems to float to different areas and for some reason settled on ' my page' earlier today making it difficult to access my page except to read it around this message. Because when I click 'ok' it kicks me off the site and I have to reboot the internet. It was on today when I tried to bring up this video. However I managed to close it and access the video. After watching the video I tried to get to my comment section and it booted me off again. I had to go to the friends section to get to send you my response. That just seems to confirm to me that God wanted me to see this video . I'll close for now as I'm getting long winded.

I believe you have the touched the heart of the matter when you named discernment as being the key to responding. You mentioned that there are 'times when we must speak up' and I couldn't agree more. Especially considering the format of this web site. By that I simply mean that there are Christians in every stage of their walk with Christ and it is important that they get the whole picture ( for lack of a better word) concerning a subject. I appreciate how you present your comments with much scriptural support. It helps new Christians (hopefully anyhow) become Bereans and search for answers where God can best give them the right ones ( in His word).
My problem is , and always will be , the lack of ability to effectively communucate what's on my heart. That's why my comments are so long sometimes. I have, many times, had people respond in ways that make me sit down and try to discern what I had said to have them respond back in the way that they did. That's one of the drawbacks of the internet way of communication. I can't see the people I'm'talking to' so I don't know how they're reacting until I get a negative response and then I have to backtrack and figure out what's going on. However, the benefits of the internet far outway the things that hinder someone with my limitations in the area of communication.
I've rambled enough.

Dear Carla' I just read your last comment on the forum ' God and Country' and wanted to tell you that I completely agree with the comment about responding in the first place. I feel the same way about the trap I fell into in responding to one of the many posts on anti abortion. By the time we got anything half way settled I felt really stupid and almost embarrassed to have reponded.
