Forgive me for just now writing. Because my parents were Christians, I have known about God and Jesus all of my life. I was baptized when I was 11 years old. I believe baptize is complete immersion after confession is made that Jesus is the Son of God and that we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us walk with Jesus in the Christian Life.
Dear sister Trisna Tarigan
WELCOME TO THE NET where we can all share Jesus' love and make many good friends here, and strengthening each other. Nice to have you here and thank you for coming to my life and becoming my friend. Take Care. God bless you always. And as usual I would like to remind you that Let's bear fruitful together in this site for God's glory. To do that, Please keep in touch with us All in this site to grow deeper and stronger Together in Jesus Christ. You know you are always most welcome and Needed in this site. God bless you abundantly always in everything. Praise the Lord always. Haleluja!!!
James 1.17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.he righteousness of God.
(Neither does fear.Rebuke it soundly.)11 Tim1.7
The WORD The greatest gift.
WHEN I WAS A CHILD "Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:1-4)
Paul was saying in these verses that our relationship with other Christians is so important. That is being others centered and not self centered. This is our state when we are born into the world. When we are babies life is all about us, what we need, what we want, and if we do not get it everyone hears about it around us. Everything is about what makes me feel good.
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I no longer used childish ways.” (1Corinthians 13:11)
Something happens to a healthy person as they grow up, they realize they are not the center of the universe and that everything does not revolve around them. Philippians 2:1-4 is a description of a maturing Christian.
There is nothing worse to deal with than some one who has refused to grow up. It is still all about what they want and when they don't get there way everyone knows about it.
As Christians we should be growing up in God, maturing in our relationships with other, and putting away childish ways of interacting with each other. I hate it when I see myself at times still acting like a child in my relationships with others.
PRAYER
Father God we are so immature some times in how we interact with others. We still want to make it all about ourselves. So Father help us to grow up in our relationships with others and in how we relate to you. In Jesus name amen.
There are times in our lives when we come to the end of our rope. We exhaust every option we know, we have prayed, we have sought counsel, we have done our home work, we have gone the extra mile, etc. We have done all we can do and still we have to deal with a burden that seeks to crush us.
What do we do when we have been unemployed for months with no job in sight?
What do we do when no matter how hard we work, the pile of debt never seems to diminish?
What do we do when our marriage we have tried to salvage for years begins to crumble?
What do we do when our children have rejected our faith, and rejected us in the process?
These are very real situations that we all face, they are heavy burdens that we all find ourselves dealing
with throughout or lives, even as Christians. What do we do?
Come unto Jesus
Jesus said,"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. ( John 7:37 )
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. ( John 6:35 )
A song that I love says;
Come unto Jesus, give Him your heart today;
Come unto Jesus, let Him have His way!
Oh, I know there are things in your life
You think He can't forgive;
But He'll forgive and forget, my friend,
And show you how to live.
Come unto Jesus, give Him your heart today;
Come unto Jesus, let Him have His way!
Don't you put it off my friend;
You can't afford to wait;
Today's the day for you,
Soon it could be too late!
Come unto Jesus, give Him your heart today;
Come unto Jesus, let Him have His way! ( Dallas Holm, Come unto Jesus )
"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or
'What will we wear for clothing?' "For the Gentiles (non-believers) eagerly seek all these things;
for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,(rule,reign, realm)
and all these things will be added to you.”
( Matthew 6:31-33 )
We got it all wrong if we forget to keep coming to the source of life, “Jesus.”
We can't replace him with other things, He must always stand supreme in our lives. So let us come
unto Jesus once again and find his grace and help in our time of need.
The following video is called, “ Forgive Me”. It is based on a Book called, “Pilgrims Progress.”
This video really shows how the burden of sin can debilitate us, but carrying other heavy burdens even
as Christians. They can be just as debilitating as carrying the weight of sin.
As you view the video, ask the Lord to help you to release the heavy burden that you are caring.
An old hymn says; “Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.”
Jesus said. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and
YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30)
PRAYER
Father God We confess that we have come to the end of ourselves. We are at our wits end.
We have tried and tried to deal with these burdens on our own, and we have done everything we can
conceive of to deal with these situations.
Forgive us for trying to deal with them on our own. We now bring our burdens
and lay them down before you, and we trust you with them. Thank you that we are always
welcome into your presence because of Jesus has made a way for us a way through
His sacrifice upon the cross for us. We need to continue to come unto Jesus, we need to continue
to lay down those burdens day by day. We need most of all to be with you Lord.
We need to lay down the weight of sin, and every heavy burden so we can carry the weight of your
glory into a lost world without any way to find any release from their burdens.
In the name of Jesus we pray with thanksgiving. Amen
Hi Sis Trisna, I am glad to know that I am not the only one from Indonesia. Ini tempat yg bagus buat Believers in Jesus.. Glad to have a friend like you, Trisna. I am a Pastor from GBI Gatot Subroto (Pdt Nico Nyotorahardjo), Jakarta. Ok, Jesus bless you Trisna..
Trisna, I was very fortunate to have a wonderful Mother and Father who loved God very much so they taught me about God and Jesus all of my life. I was baptized (immersed in water) when I was 12 years old. My Mother and Father are now both in heaven and there are times when I miss them very much but I know they are with God and Jesus and that makes me very happy.
This is wonderful Trisna and Yes, I understand your English. I attend a International Sunday School Class so I am more used to listening to God's people who are making a beautiful effort to speak English.
Thank You for accepting my friendship. Our friends are from God.
