Dear Ladyhumble.
Thank you very much for your encouraging message. I am struggling with Depression.continue praying for me. However I am improving since last Wednesday when some Friends from our National body of Intercessors prayed with me. I want to do this prayer meeting with them weekly for some time. We give all the glory back to God. how can I pray for you. God bless, have a great week.
Juliet.
Thank you for welcoming me so warmly. I'm sorry it's taken so long to reply. We are in the midst of trying to put together a new ministry schedule and music. It's very time consuming. Please pray that the Lord will have His hand in all our decisions. I admire you for your faith, strength and dedication to His will in your life. May God continue to bless you in all you do! In Christ, Stephen Norris
This is one of the lessons from the Love Dare book and spoke to me so much and thought it would be a great encouragement for you.
Love Is Responsible, It is all about personal responsibility. It is something we all agree others should have, but we struggle to maintain it our selves.
To find an example of some one who has an excuse for every action, all we have to do is look in the mirror. We are so quick to justify our motives, so quick to reflect criticism, so quick to find fault, especially with those who are closes to us.
We tend to believe that our view s are correct, at least more correct than others who are close to us. We can't believe that anyone given the same circumstances as we are in would act any different than we are.
As far as we are concerned we feel we are doing the best we can, and we think that those who are close to us ought to be glad that we are as good to them as we are.
But love does not pass the blame so easily to justify selfish motives. Real love is more concerned with personal need, more than personal performance.
When love takes responsibility for it's actions, its not to prove how noble we are, but it admits how far we have to go to become a loving man of God.
Love does not make excuses, love keeps working to make a difference in self and others.
What might happen in your relationship with others if we really listened to them instead of working up come backs while they are talking?
What would happen if we stopped passing blame and admitted our wrongs?
Love is responsible and is willing to admit and correct its faults. and errors up front.
We have to do this to others and to God. Take responsibility for for the wrong things we have done and stop passing blame on others and God for our own wrong doing.
This does not mean that the other person is always right, we are not called to be door mats. Pride is resistant to responsibility , but humility and honesty before God is crucial for healthy relationships.
Can others say that we have wronged or wounded them and not made things right with them? I have to really do a soul search to see if this is my case.
It is time to correct offences with others and God and repair the damage we have done. It is an act of love. God does not want offences to create walls between each other.
It may be the most difficult thing you have ever done to make things right with others, and with God but it will be worth it all. God wants us to be free to love others and to love him this can't happen if we hand on to these petty things
