Why do I feel I just dont belong?

Is it me?

I am having a really hard time feeling like I belong. I try to help and I answer discussions and I start my own. I feel like I just dont fit in. I know I fit in with Christ and that is sufficent for me. But, I wonder if it is just me.
Even at church. I try to get involved, I try to fit in. I just feel ignored. I just dont understand if it may be that I tend to be shy and people take that the wrong way.

I may be feeling a bit sensative. Not too sure whats up!

Just blabbin!! Feeling a bit empty inside. Hmmm...

Dear Vic, I have only just got to read your blog and the comments from Nancy and Jim. I can confirm what they say. In 1974 I changed towns and the church I attended didn't make me feel welcome. Looking back I can see I was hurting and that had made me withdraw.Now, God used that time to prepare me for baptism in the Holy Spirit.
That opened up a new life for me in God and I can look back at that time as necessary preparation.
You will find genuine friends here ,just give us time. I am glad you shared how you were feeling. I feel I know you already........God Bless you,He is a Good God......Anne.

Thank you so much. I really needed that. Its true that God has been speaking to me because I have been talking to him more and more. Praying, and just having little conversations with him. I am ready for whatever he instills in me. I will keep you posted, and I really appricate yours and Nancy's replies and feel blessed

Like Nancy, I believe that we all feel that way at one time or another. I have learned, however, that when God is going to do something in somebody's life, He separates us from everything - people, things, and etc - so we can be only with Him and search out His face and heart. God is going to do something with you Vik.

When God proclaimed His purpose for the rest of my life, God separated me from everything. I went through a very lonely time. However, I emerged with a purpose for God's Kingdom and it has changed my life. Thank you Jesus

God's purpose for our lives can be found in our passions and is no doubt an area in which He is working in you as we speak. I am excited for you and the idea that God is going to use you in a big way. (Hint: all ways are big in God's Kingdom.) Keep us all informed as to your life and purpose. I for one am interested. And like Nancy says, we are never alone.

Something else Vik: different churches have different mantels on them. So if you don't seem to fit, check out another church. There is nothing wrong with you or the other church (accept that they should have made you feel welcome - sad to say that that happens a lot). If you have a prayer spirit on you, seek out a church that has a prayer spirit on them. If you love to worship God, seek out a worshiping church. If you are into prophecy, check out a prophetic church. Etc, etc. (These are just examples.) I am not gifted in prayer (intercessory) but I love to sing before the Lord and worship Him. I go to a worshiping church (Vineyards of Albany, Oregon) and love it there. It is also a prophetic church.
