All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Fear is of our enemy Satan, the father of lies, and springs forth from an evil heart of unbelief in the loving, providing and protecting nature of our Father in Heaven and His promises to us.

(Heb 3:12-14) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;

(The word "deceitfulness" is the object of that phrase, not the "sin" itself. Ask yourself: What is this "deceitfulness of sin" he wrote about? Is it because our sin may deceive us into believing we are unworthy of His loving promises to us? Could this be what is meant by that phrase? I think so.)

The state of so many families in our own economy here in the USA, the former land of prosperity, is getting much worse here daily! We know the end of this age is near when even families with innocent little children here in "the land of the free" are forced to live on the streets, as well as those in the rest of the world!

If you are reborn of the Spirit of God in Jesus Christ, He promises to always meet your needs, and I know He will. Even now, He is doing it for you and your family, yes? You still have shelter, food and clothing, and though it may be just barely enough, and you may not be sure how long it will last, it is still enough, yes?

If you belong to the Lord and you know it, and you hold your confidence in Him steadfast, then He has purchased you at a tremendous price and you are precious to Him, and He will see you through to the end, no matter when it occurs, on that glorious day of Jesus Christ, at His Revelation to us when we are glorified like Him and taken to meet Him in the air!

Will we who belong to Him ever lack anything we need, materially or otherwise? If so, then God's promises to us are vain!

These are the words straight from the mouth of our Savior Jesus Christ to us, His beloved brethren:

(Mt 6:28-33) ...Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Be FREE AND JOYFUL in these promises always, because God keeps ALL His promises to us, His children! Be free and joyful in His promises, because it is what He requires of us in trusting Him, because it GLORIFIES HIM! In Christ, we are made free from worry and fear, free from these devices of Satan the father of lies, because this truth, HIS TRUTH, makes us free, because He has even commanded us to be free of fear and worry!

I have written this, as with many of the posts I've written, because I need to trust and believe these things myself. I'm trying TO TRUST IN HIM MORE. I'm trying not to be one of those He calls "ye of little faith."

As times get worse in this world, our genuine faith and trust in Him will be refined in the "fire", and more opportunities will be presented to us, the Body, to prove our trust in Him and to glorify Him with our Joy and Freedom! If you think things are tough for you now, consider that these may be the best days of the rest of your life here on earth. (That's why I love that song on my page "These Are Days" so much - I am trying to learn to live in the day, the moment, appreciating the blessings I have right now rather than being too busy looking forward to better days ahead, which may never happen in this life.)

During the last days, as more of the unsaved become desperate in their circumstances and therefore their ears are opened to the Good News of the coming of our Savior Jesus, we will be called upon to lead them to Him. Let's always listen carefully to His still, quiet voice, and be faithful to respond.

I wish to forward the following email I received today, concerning the continuing downhill spiral of our economy here in America, when even families with children are forced to live in the streets. This, to me, is a sign of the beginning of the end of this age. But even concerning Bible prophesies of the tribulation at the end of these last days, do we who are the children of our Father in Heaven have anything to fear? Will we ever lack anything, even if we were to give it all away in His name? Will He ever fail in His promises to us?

The following message is bad news to those of the world, but GOOD NEWS to us in His Kingdom of the approaching Revelation of Jesus Christ to us, His Bride:

A CALL to ACTION
-Darren Smith.

As the economy gets worse, we are seeing more and more people
join the ranks of the homeless. Last Saturday the alarming trend
of families being homeless continued. Three more new families
with kids were at the street outreach. All came to Galveston with
the hopes of finding jobs and soon ran out of money and went from
hotels to the street.

Can you imagine living in the street with your kids? What about
trying to sleep with your wife and kids in an alley or on the beach?
It's not safe at all living in the street for men, much less families .

The group helping us Saturday were broken by the amount of
people we fed and prayed for Saturday morning, but the ones that
went back out that night were in shock as we passed out food and
blankets on the beach to a group living under a torn up hotel on the
beach. Most people don't realize how many people there are in
this condition, when in reality most are only 3 paychecks away
from being homeless. On the Houston news tonight they had a
report where in this last year 30 thousand more people, including
children, have been forced to the streets in Houston alone, not
counting the whole area. These are staggering numbers to say
the least, and I believe they are true from the increase we are
seeing in the street. With this, there is a huge opportunity to bring
people to Christ if the Body steps up to the plate. The Church
should be on the front line of this harvest, but sadly it is not - or
should I say - not yet.

I believe that God is stirring the remnant to arise and take to the
street. As I travel, I find many who have a heart to do just this and
are asking for direction. We are working with a group in Wisconsin
who are starting a street ministry right now in the inner city of
Milwaukee. I will be going back up there in a few weeks to teach
hands-on in the street to get them started. Please pray for us we
also have a group in Virginia and New York City wanting to start
up now as well.

I will continue to shout to the masses to awake for the Kingdom is
at hand and to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom no matter the
cost. It's funny how this offends so many religious people and how
many new critics that I have found. But I also have found people
from all over the world that feel the same way.

Please pray for us as our burden increases. We know the Lord
will supply. We are always looking for people who are willing to
take it to the streets. If you are in any of these areas and willing
to step out please contact us.

We also are looking for prayer warriors that want to connect with
us as we send prayer needs out to those who commit to pray as
well as street preachers and musicians. We also always need
supplies as well as support. We believe that God is building a
network of believers to shine the light during these hard times.

We have many ministry opportunities in many places; no matter
what you can do, God can use you. Remember this, God is not
looking for your ability but your availability.

This is the greatest of all times to be serving the Lord as He is
pouring out His Spirit in abundance. Every time we are out we see
miracles and great advancement of His Kingdom. Last but not
least, I ask you to walk in faith and not fear in these hard times.
God is still in control and will carry us through. We are on the
verge of the greatest move of God in all times.

Dear Terry

God bless you for allowing Him to touch your heart for these people. I knew about the increase in 'homeless
people and families but was not aware of the extent of it.

I was homeless for a brief period in my life (13 days) but I was aware the whole time that God would provide for me after I had learned the lesson I needed to. Please don't think I'm saying that the people you mentioned are being 'taught a lesson' because nothing is further from the truth. I'm simple saying that is what brought about MY brief stint with ' homelessness'.

The point I was trying to make is that a knowledge of God and my relationship with Him allowed me to endure the brief period. Ilikethe comment Maggie made "We get caught up in our own needs and desires for Him to extend His hand to us, we do not necessarily prove our faith by putting ourselves out there to show to others our Father's provision."

Though 'physical' needs are very important both to provide for people and to demonstate God's love for them,
the importance of 'showing' them that GOD will provide for them is of the most importance.

I'm reminded of the Psalmist's words - Psalm 27:13 - '" I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living".

I believe that that speaks to all of us and certainly did to me in my times of discouragement and distress.

Again, God bless in your work for Him.

Wow! (Heb 3:12-14) and your following comment. "(The word "deceitfulness" is the object of that phrase, not the "sin" itself. Ask yourself: What is this "deceitfulness of sin" he wrote about? Is it because our sin may deceive us into believing we are unworthy of His loving promises to us? Could this be what is meant by that phrase? I think so.)"
We are so on the same page to the point it is scary!

Just blown away by the acts of the church there, I love what is said that "God is not looking for our ability, just our availability", so true.

It really makes you think doesn't it, how many ways each day do we test our Fathers promise of provision.
We get so caught up in our own needs and desires for him to extend his hand to us, we do not necessarily prove our faith by putting ourselves out there to show to others our Fathers provision.

It is one thing to give to others what you have, and another to SHOW to others what our Father will provide.

What a challenge this has posed to my heart.

thank you for another awesome blog.

Hi Terry, Very good word bro. I like the part:

"During the last days, as more of the unsaved become desperate in their circumstances and therefore their ears are opened to the Good News of the coming of our Savior Jesus, we will be called upon to lead them to Him. Let's always listen carefully to His still, quiet voice, and be faithful to respond."

I've always said as I am sure you have that if we don't lead them to THE Kingdom, Satan will lead them to his. One thing, however. We absolutely have to pay attention to His still voice but if we are to lead them to Christ, we also have to listen to their voice. We have to listen to people with spiritual ears and catch them in their problems and have compassion on them enough to show them the way to peace - right.

Good job Terry, as usual. I am posting my piece on "fear" also. You may have already read it. GBY Bro Have a good one.
