We Need the Best Doctor
Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself!' " ~ Luke 4:23

You will not find this proverb in the Bible, because it is not a godly proverb. Jesus was quoting a witticism of man. Of course, America proclaims it as if it were Holy Scripture. For a half century, she has abandoned the old, ancient godly path and has taken the one in which she thinks she can solve all of her own problems, EXACTLY as rebellious Israel did (Jeremiah 6:16).
If a physician cannot diagnose the correct disease from the symptoms, he is practically worthless. If he REFUSES to believe in the real disease, he is dangerous. America has done both. She cannot heal herself, any more than a sinner can save himself, for her disease is rebellion against God. Jeremiah also asked the questions that we should be asking publicly to America: "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people" (Jeremiah 8:22)?
However, before we in the church ask those public questions, we need to realize that we responsible for the initiation of the healing of the land, not unbelievers (2 Chronicles 7:14). However, then we SHOULD ask those questions publicly.
