A river can be anything but peaceful
And at times, even turbulent!
But it keeps moving forward!
We are carried on a current of peace
That takes us exactly where God wants us to be.

Thank you, Lord, for the peace you give
To move forward in your strength.
Peace and river connect; the river might cut new channels;
it might twist and turn, but it keeps moving forward!
Its peace comes from the forward flow!

We can claim that peace today;
Only God can remove us away
From what could have been,
But forward to that cloudless day
Of the great river of life,
Where all is peaceful; no stress and strife!
Our Lord is the only one on whom to depend!
