Please note that I am on a library computer and severely limited to time. I have blogged this piece in 2 parts...for continuity please read part 1 first.
There is a saying about violent alcoholics. "One drink is too much and 6 are never enough".
We know that God can heal us of anything if we love and worship Him and know His will for us.
Many of these severly damaged adult children were taught to hate God. They were taught by their parents, their "friends", and even some in the church who failed to teach them about God's love, redemption and the very purpose of Jesus sacrifice. Instead, some of the clergy have taken over God's job of judgement and condemed many to Hell.
I have known these things on an intellectual level most of my life...but now I am living with these souls...I hear their stories...see the emptiness and pain in their eyes.
After not even one day I have seen and felt the turmoil these souls are in...and felt God's sadness regarding the inhumanity perpetrated on them as children by those who should have loved them as children and now as adults.
There was a time when I called men like I am now "bleeding heart liberals". In my ignorance I would see a broken soul and think "Looser". I was just as guilty of judging these folks as the ones who broke them as children...not by my actions but by a lack of my actions...the lack of love for them as God's children.
God help me. He sent me here to convict me. I know how He feels...and know why Christ wept. I don't know yet what I can do about it...but I do know He will instruct me.
I know that God can heal. I know that loving Him means getting to know Him. I also know these folks have Spiritual scars on top of Spiritual scars on top of fresh. bleeding wounds.
No child chooses the life these men have lived. They were taught hopelesness as young, impressionable children.
They actually believe they are not good enough for God...and besides...if what the preachers have told them is true....what's the use? "Im going to Hell any way".
We know this is false teaching but their perception is their reality...and their view of God and of life is morbid and dismal...hopeless and helpless.
He brought me here to learn how to teach them the truth about God's love and salvation.
Many of these men are fresh out of prison for the most heynous of crimes. They weren't created to be murderers and rapists...They were TAUGHT those things by those who learned from God's enemy the snake. And so the chain from the time of Able's brother Cain is perpetuated until the chain is broken...until God's truth and light blinds satan's darkness and lies.
Are some humans pre-destined to be beyond God's love? No. Will some souls choose, of their own free will, to be evil until God's Day of Judgment? Yes. Is it our job to decide who is beyond redemption? NO!!! That is God's job...in His time alone.
Consider that 1/3 of the Host fell away with satan. Does this mean 1/3 of humans will will do the same? No human knows that amswer. What IS known is that the Great Commission COMMANDS us to spread the good news of His Kingdom through out the entire inhabited Earth...to ALL humanity...not just those WE deem worthy.
By spreading the Word to even those who who choose evil it gives their free will clear choices about God and His Will.
Does there come a time that we have planted all the seeds and watered them enough in any given single human? Yes...sometimes... Mat. 10:14 and Mat. 7:6.
However, there may come a time that these same people may accept God's Word later...and until He closes the door there is hope of redemption for all souls...God's call...not ours.
God sent me here to learn how to open these minds, hearts and souls. To learn to teach them to see God's truth of hope and salvation...not the false truth of hopelessness and condemnation the enemy teaches to frighten and confuse.
God help me. At first glance it would be like teaching vipers how to lactate pure mother's milk.
He sent me here to convict me and to teach me to see these souls not with my human eyes...but with Christ's eyes.
God's love and my Brotherly love.
