All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Hello every one I have this in my study Bible and it always bless me when I read it and hope it will bless u when u read it that is why I want to share with you all and this is my first blog hope you will be blessed and enjoy it.
My prayer to all May the Lord help us to keep His Command, and let His love flow continually in our life to wards our sisters and brothers, and let His love be our identity, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Amen!!!!!!!

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Jonh 34,35
.
A New Command?

Loving your neighbor is not a new commandment. Jesus Himself said that this was the second greatest commandment in Old Testament Law. Yet, in this passage He calls loving others a new commandment. Why?

Jesus set a new standard. The Old Testament measured love for neighbors by love for oneself. The New Testament measures love for others by the selfless standard established by Christ: Jesus came to earth because He loved us more than He loved Himself.

Jesus established a new relationship. The Old Testament views others as neighbors, but in Christ believers are brothers and sisters.

Jesus created a new outcome. As Jesus' love spreads among the Christian community, nonbelievers will see that love and know that we are His disciples. Only the presence of Jesus in our lives can possibly explain the fellowship possible in Christ's church. How wonderful that we are called to give and to receive, this kind of love.

Remain blessed all.
With His love, ur sis.

Hello My Precious:
How are you doing> Honey I have to agree with Charles, and Bev. Bev is right when she said that people say I love You lously. Most of the time is is of the mouth, and not the heart. God knows if we are sincere. Loving your Brothers, and sister can be easy if we renewed our minds, and our hearts. If we could look at the person itself, and not what he looks like, or what he has done. because we are just like them, Human! We all make mistakes and Thank God for his unfailing Love. If we could see them the way God does we would have no problem. Unconditional Love is what we need. I have not arrived yet, but I am working on it. You did an awesome job on your Blog Honey. I am proud of you, and I know Bev is too.

Love to you Child

Dear Charles Burwell, thank you for the comment, yes you said it well ......... after all God sees the heart .....the motive behind every action.
In 1 John 3 we have told we should love each other in fact John is called the deciple of love he teach us more about love here is some verses.......
16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
May the Lord help each of us to walk in His love. Amen!!!!
Thanks again
Remain blessed.
With His love ur sis.

dear Pilgrim

I was reading in 1 Peter last night and came across a scripture that adds more to the other comments.
In 1 Peter 1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in SINCERE LOVE OF THE BRETHREN, love one another FERVENTLY with a PURE HEART." Our love for the brethen must be with all that is in us and with only pure motives in doing so.

God bless you my sister

What a wonderful reminder of what it truly means to be a Christian. We are to love without first judging. We are to love regardless. We are to love as He loves us. It isn't hard at all when you think of how He died for us without a second thought. He gave it all up to gain it all. He paid the price for us.....who are we not to love all those He created? Who are we to pick and choose who we will love? And who are we to decide what we will love and not love in others? I am soooo glad God is not like us. I am so glad that His love for us is unconditional. So many Christians use the word love loosly without understanding the meaning behind it. We are to love others as we love ourselves and as He loves us!! Do we even grasp that? I wonder! Gracias mi amor!! Te amo mucho mi precioso. Te amo en Christo!!

Pilgim

Thank you for this wonderful post. It is a marvelous thing that God has called us into a personal relationship with Him . He set the perfect example for us to follow in all things. Who could possibly show more love than to give His life for us. When we truly understand this love for us how can we help but love our brothers and sisters.

Also, as Carol has mentioned , we can even love our enemies because Christ Jesus gave us the example when He died for us when we were His enemies (Romans 5:8 ). He is our example in all things and we must seek , with all our hearts to follow His example.

Again , thank you for this reminder and I pray that God will bless you .

Hello My precious One.
This is a very good message Hon. Loving someone who is mean is hard, but when you think of what God did for us, How can we not love our neighbors as ourself? To me, the greatest love is to love your enemies. They are what we call the unloveables. No matter how they upset you, and what they say, we need to remember that God loved us while we were yet sinners. How can we not do the same? So My Sweet Friend Thank You from My heart for this post. I pray we all see the wisdom in this. God Bless You Honey
