A COVENANT RELATIONSHIP

BE YE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY

The Lord desires to heal and to restore

Exodus 20:10 reveals the 10 commandments of God
Romans 14: 12-13. Every one of us shall give account
of himself to God.
Let us not therefore judge one another any more; but
judge this rather that no man put a stumbling block or
an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

The 1st 4 commandments reveal a relationship with God
The 5th commandment reveals our relationship with God
Commandments 6 - 10 reveal our relationship with man

1 John reveals the need to LOVE GOD and likewise
LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
Commandment are given to a saved people to teach them
how to WALK GOD'S WAY.
God makes a covenant whereby we take God as our portion.
We thus obey His voice and keep His ways whereby we
shall then be a peculiar treasure.

LOVE IS AN EMOTION OF THE HEART
HONOR IS ACTION IN REALITY

1st COMMANDMENT…
Question...WHAT IS GOD?

Webster's dictionary:
A supernatural immortal with special powers over the lives
and affairs of people and the course of nature.
Creator and ruler of the universe regarded as eternal, infinate
all powerful, all knowing, supreme being.
God is a person that is excessively worshipped and
admired with an absorbing passion and pursuit.

Roman household Gods were things treasured from
association with home life

God's word prohibits worshipping or honoring anything before
God in thought, word or deed that in all things HE might
have the preeminence Col. 1:18

GOD IS THE ORIGINATOR OF ALL THINGS

There is mental and internal idolatry that affect us in many
ways. God proved His superior power and gracious
unlimited ability in His delivering the children of Israel from
Egypt.

Through the Lord Jesus Christ we likewise can experience
that which He can do whereby we will encounter the reality
of God in a personal way.

THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME

How many areas do we put before the reality of God himself.
May we take time to digest the truths of GOD'S WORD.
personally and so turn to encounter the LORD JESUS CHRIST
in a personal way whereby the power of HIS PRESENCE will
be ABSORBED into every aspect of our being.

TURN AND TRULY SEEK HIM AND SO EXPERIENCE
THE BENEFITS OF HIS KINGDOM

God's character demands loyalty. We demonstrate our
loyalty in worship and in our attitude.

TAKE TIME TO SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST AND DIGEST HIS WORD
WHEREBY IT IS ABSORBED INTO EVERY ASPECT
OF YOUR BEING.

THAT WE WILL TRULY HAVE GOD IN PROPER
PERSPECTIVES.



2ND COMMANDMENT Prohibits the creation or use of
graven images as objects of worship.

WE ARE TO REMEMBER GOD IS A SPIRIT

GOD'S MERCY EXTENDS TO THOUSANDS..
TO ALL THAT LOVE HIM.
HE IS THE FOUNTAIN...THE ORIGIN OF
TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND IS EXPRESSED
THROUGH AN AWARENESS OF HIS SPIRITUAL
POWER AND PRESENCE, WHICH FLOWS FORTH
TO ALL WHO BELIEVE AND ARE WILLING TO
RECEIVE.

Ancient History of Egypt reveals
Osiris and his wife Isis were supreme divinities among
the people.
Among the Egyptians the ox was considered sacred
and adored. They believed at death one entered
into the body of another.
The stork and hawk were also objects of Egyptian idolatry.
Crocodiles, serpents and beetles also were worshipped.
Fish were esteemed sacred with the Egyptians as well.

Idolatry brings withdrawal of divine protection whereby
one is delivered into the hands of ones enemy thus being
powerless. Babylon captivity completely turned around
idolatrous people

LOVE IS THE PRINCIPLE OF OBEDIENCE.

HIS MERCY IS TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD
AND ARE WILLING TO KEEP HIS WAYS.

WORSHIP IS SUBMISSION AND SURRENDER
WHICH LIKEWISE AFFECTS OUR INNER MOST
BEING AND SUBSEQUENT REACTIONS IN LIFE.

THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN
IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING THAT IS
IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR THAT IS IN THE EARTH
BENEATH OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE
EARTH.

How many of our thoughts and attitudes do we put before the
reality of God.

WHERE IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN OUR LIFE

O Lord Jesus reveal anything that would hinder that which
you would do in our heart and life. Release us from all that
would hinder whereby the GLORY of YOUR PRESENCE
will flood our soul and work in us and likewise through us.

IN JESUS NAME

3rd COMMANDMENT

GOD is the ORIGINATOR of spiritual life!!

Consider a lost child calling for their Mommy.
Many can say Can I help but ultimately their
is only one that will truly bring the satisfaction
that is needed to this lost one.
Have you been there?
Restoration brings such bliss and happiness
and inner well being doesn't it?

God forbids the use of HIS NAME in the
service of unbelief and lying.

We are to WALK WORTHY of the calling
wherewith we are called Eph. 4:1

BEAR NOT THE NAME OF CHRIST IN VAIN
He is the creator and originator of life.

An ungrateful attitude causes one to fail to
respond to the reality of Divine love. Evil
becomes a stumbling block and an attitude
of treachery consequently motivates the
individual.

False swearing, blasphemy and irreverence
are all a result of a sinful nature.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST RELEASES
INTO OUR HEART AND LIFE
A DEEP REVERANCE..
A GENUINE SPIRIT OF PIETY.

Malachi the last book of the old testament
speaks of
1...the coming of the heavenly messenger Mal.3:1-4
2...the outpouring of blessing 3:10-12 due to a
covenant relationship in which we respond
full heartedly
3...know God and His ways being responsive to
His ways. God honors our faithfulness.
God does not honor evil conduct. Be aware
it is folly to speak evil of God in any way.
He puts before us the opportunity to be
restored and experience the reality of divine
love and forgiveness.
May our personal conduct give honor to God
4...God opens up the door to a new day Mal. 4: 2-3
Restoration, deliverance and refreshing all
available through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Salvation is God's rescue of the entire person
or nation, and healing is His complete repair of
that person or nation.
Compare Ps. 41:4 and Ps. 147:3 in reference to the
healing of a soul that has sinned and the healing of
a broken heart.
In Malachi the Messiah is compared to a rising sun
which has visible radiant beams of sunlight streaming
outward in all directions. From each of these beams of
glorious light ... healing flows.

Ps. 73 reveals true perspectives in light of eternity.
God's word gives guidelines to grow.
We envision God's concerns with the opportunity
to turn to God in times of trouble.
TIME IN GOD'S PRESENCE will CAUSE US
TO GAIN PROPER PRESPECTIVE and
UNDERSTANDING

THOU SHALT NOT TAKE THE NAME OF
THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN

The name of the Lord should not be misused
for His name and His character are inseparable.
As we reverance the name of the Lord God we
will also have control of our tongue as well.

May our attitude to GOD be reflected in
our words and subsequent reactions.

In the midst of the stresses of life..
COME...DRAW NIGH and EXPERIENCE
that which only the LORD JESUS CHRIST
can do. The depth of HIS LOVE is beyond
human comprehension but from that well
of salvation comes forth the reality of
eternal life which God imparts to whosoever
chooses to come and be a partaker of HIS
GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE.

IN CHRIST THERE IS NO DARKNESS
WALK IN HIS LIGHT NOW and FOREVER

LORD JESUS WE COME TO YOU ASKING
THAT YOU WILL TOUCH BODY, SOUL and
SPIRIT ALL WHO REACH OUT TO YOU.

YOU ARE THE GIVER OF LIFE.
IMPART WHOLENESS IN EVERY ASPECT.

4th COMMANDMENT

Scripture refers to the Sabbath as a day of rest
A day of worship
A time to encounter the reality of God
To meditate on the promises and truths of God's word.

Isaiah 58:14 DELIGHT THYSELF IN THE LORD
AND I WILL CAUSE THEE TO RIDE UPON THE
HIGH PLACES OF THE EARTH AND FEED THEE
WITH THE HERITAGE OF JACOB THY FATHER:
FOR THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HATH SPOKEN IT.

Jer. 17:20-21 HEAR YE THE WORD OF THE LORD...
TAKE HEED TO YOURSELVES AND BEAR NO BURDEN
ON THE SABBATH DAY

We are called to trust in the Lord God and put our hope
in the truth of HIS WORD and rely totally on that
which HE hath revealed.

BELIEVE JESUS IS SAVIOR AND LORD
ACCEPT THE HOLY SPIRIT'S POWER FOR LIVING
REALIZE THE REALITY OF OUR FATHER'S LOVE (Jn.3:16)

Sabbath in scripture means ceasing from labor
God had redeemed Israel from the bondage of Egypt to enjoy His rest.
Christ having ceased from HIS finished work arose from the dead
IT IS A RELATIONSHIP, WHICH GOD ORIGINALLY INTENDED.

JESUS STATES IN Matthew
COME UNTO ME ALL YE THAT
LABOR AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.
LEARN OF ME AND FIND REST FOR YOUR SOUL

As we would HONOR GOD and RELATE to the
LORD JESUS CHRIST on the day set aside for worship...
Assembling on the first day of the week in accordance to
the day which CHRIST AROSE FROM THE DEAD...
bringing victory to all who would BELIEVE and ACCEPT
the provision that HE has provided. So the RESURRECTION
POWER that raised JESUS from the dead will likewise find
access to quicken our mortal bodies whereby we have the
POWER and PRESENCE of the HOLY SPIRIT to follow
the ways of the SPIRIT OF GOD.

As God worked 6 days in creation we likewise need to
allow GOD to working in our lives during the week.

The presence and power of the HOLY SPIRIT is likewise
released in our lives to bring forth all that we need to thereby
encounter the reality of GOD and HIS LOVE in practical
daily experiences.

GOD DESIRES THE POWER AND PRESENCE OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT TO BE MANIFEST IN OUR MIDST
WHEREVER WE GO.

WOULD WE BE SENSITIVE TO THE LEADING OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT AS WELL AS DIGEST THE TREASURES
OF GOD'S WORD. IN DIGESTING THE
ETERNAL TRUTHS OF GOD'S WORD THEY BECOME A
PART OF OUR INNER MOST BEING.

Many have passed over the Red sea being DELIVERED
from the clutches of the enemy but we need to face the
reality of encountering that which GOD has ahead for us.
WHAT DO WE OBSERVE? HE BIDS US TO CROSS
OVER JORDAN TO INHERIT THAT WHICH HE HAS
LIKEWISE INTENDED.

The 3rd Epistle of John reveals the soul prospers in
Spiritual growth.
1 John 3:10 reveals that life as God has intended is
manifest in the reality of divine love.

Ps. 1 reveals that THE BLESSED DELIGHT IN HIS WORD,
AND SO MEDITATE IN THE WORD OF GOD MORNING
AND NIGHT...WHEREBY WE SHALL BE PLANTED BY
THE RIVERS OF WATER, THAT BRING FORTH THE
FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY
SIX DAYS SHALT THOU LABOR, AND DO ALL THY
WORK. BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF
THE LORD THY GOD; IN IT THOU SHALT NOT DO
ANY WORK, THOU, NOR THY SON, NOR THY DAUGHTER.
FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE THE HEAVEN AND
THE EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM,
AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY, WHEREFORE THE
LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY AND HALLOWED
IT.
The Sabbath is to be a day set aside to God.

Think of the look of joy that you will see in the eyes of the
LORD JESUS CHRIST the first time you see HIM face to
face in Eternity.

TAKE TIME TO CONTEMPLATE AND FATHOM THE
EXTENT OF SUCH LOVE THAT CHRIST HAS MANIFEST.

Come apart and rest in the realization of GOD'S LOVE and
the personal relationship that is available with the LORD
JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, who releases the
POWER OF GOD'S SPIRIT to work in us and likewise
through us in all we encounter.

ETERNAL TREASURES FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE.

Hebrews 4 states the challenge to enter into HIS REST.

TAKE TIME TO READ AND DIGEST THE TRUTHS OF
Hebrews 4 and allow GOD'S WORD to SATURATE EVERY
FIBRE OF YOUR BEING.

5TH COMMANDMENT

HONOR YOUR PARENTS

Honor according to Webster's Dictionary means:
...To treat with consideration
...to show respect
...to give esteem that is due

Vine's Expository Dictionary reveals:
...to be given to all to whom it is due
...to be given by believers one to another
...duty of children to honor their parents
Matt. 15:4
Matt.19:19
Mark 7:10
Mark 10:19
Luke 18:20
Eph.6:2

NO PARENT IS PERFECT but GOD STATES TO
Honor ones parents that it may go well with thee

For a time parents are God's representatives.
Dishonoring weak, sick or blind parents will not honor God
These parents feed, nourish, support, instruct and protect you
Proper treatment of parents will cause your days to be prosperous
with God playing interference on your behalf.

There is a degree of affectionate respect, which is due to
parents that no other person can properly claim

The honor we give to our parents reflects our identification with
Jesus Christ...... Prov. 1:8
Lev. 19
Prov. 15:20/ Prov. 30:11/ 11Tim. 3: 1-9
Deut. 5: 16

Is it not in keeping with God's standard to show honor to one's parents
as one does to God, and to assume responsibility for them when needed.

Our identification with the Lord Jesus Christ is reflected in how we
treat one another.

BY THIS SHALL THEY KNOW THAT YE ARE MY DISCIPLES
THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Malachi 4:6 speaks of the day of the Lord when GOD shall turn
the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children
to their father's.

This chapter reveals the judgment that wickedness will encounter
but that there is Spiritual healing, growth and victory in the
Lord Jesus Christ/

THE RESTORATION OF GOD WILL TURN US FROM
DISOBEDIENCE AND REBELLION TO JESUS AND HIS
LOVE; LIVING JUST LIVES AND LOOKING TO GOD
FOR WISDOM THAT WE MIGHT BE READY.

GOD HERE IS PROMISING A RESTORATION OF
RELATIONSHIPS TO THOSE WHO WILL ACCEPT THE
POWER OF HIS PRESENCE TO WORK IN ONES LIFE
WHEREBY ONE HAS THE POWER AND ABILITY TO
OVERCOME AND SO INHERIT THE PROMISES OF GOD.

TODAY TURN TO THE LORD AND SO RESPOND

THE 1ST 4 COMMANDMENTS DEALT WITH OUR
RELATIONSHIP TO GOD
COMMANDMENTS 6-10 DEALS WITH OUR
RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER

LOVE IS AN EMOTION OF THE HEART
HONOR IS LOVE IN DAILY REALITY

COMMANDMENTS 6 - 10 RELATE TO ONE ANOTHER

Broken commands close the door to God's glory, God's presence,
the reality of God's love, which is called agapa love, the River
of Life and God's healing power.

WE NEED TO DEAL WITH THE SOURCE OF
ROOT OF THE PROBLEM.

LOVE GOD with thine WHOLE heart, soul, mind and being
and love your neighbor as yourself.

Rev. 2:4 states the aspect of leaving ones first love
WHO IS GOD??
Has the light of God been removed
because we focus on aspects of this life
RESTORATION involves being an OVERCOMER
We thus shall encounter all the benefits.

Ps. 145:20 reveals GOD PRESERVETH ALL THAT LOVE HIM

WHAT IS OUR ATTITUDE TO GOD?
WHAT IS OUR ATTITUDE ONE TO ANOTHER?
WHAT DO WE TRULY DESIRE?
Rev. 2 & 3 speaks of the benefits of responding to God
It reveals there is a CROWN OF LIFE
REVELATION OF GOD'S WORD
HEARING HIS VOICE
POWER OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT
WALK WITH JESUS
COMMUNION and FELLOWSHIP with GOD

6th COMMANDMENT REVEALS THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE

THERE ARE NATURAL and SPIRITUAL APPLICATIONS
WE ARE NOT TO DESTROY ONE ANOTHER

THIS IS APPLICABLE TO WHATEVER WOULD DEGRADE MAN
and DEPRIVE HIM OF THE RICH and FULL LIFE IT IS GOD'S
WILL THAT HE SHOULD ENJOY.
This includes murder....cruelty...bad disposition...evil intents
riot...excess drinking...gluttony which destroys and shortens life

FREQUENTLY WE ARE ABLE TO HELP ONE IN DISTRESS
but FAILING TO DO SO whereby ANOTHER FAILS IS IN
GOD'S SIGHT SIN.

There is the aspect of GOSSIP which DESTROYS THE REPUTATION
OF ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL. WE ARE TO BE TEMPLES OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT WHEREBY WE WANT TO COMMUNICATE THE
REALITY OF DIVINE HOPE and RELEASE THAT WHICH GOD
WANTS TO SO ACCOMPLISH.

AGAIN WHAT IS OUR FOCUS ON!!

MAY WE BE CHANNELS OF DIVINE LIFE AND ETERNAL HOPE.

MAY THE REALITY OF THAT WHICH GOD INTENDED AFFECT
US SPIRITUALLY, AS WELL AS NATURALLY.

7th COMMANDMENT

RELATING ONE TO ANOTHER APPROPRIATELY
WHEREBY OUR INTERACTION WITH GOD IS
REFLECTED IN OUR DAILY REACTIONS.

GOD REVEALS THE PURITY and SANCTITY of MARRIAGE
GOD'S WORD REVEALS THE SEXUAL IMMORALITY
THAT AFFECT EVEN OUR THOUGHT LIFE.

THERE ARE AREAS WHICH LIKEWISE ROB ONE OF
ONES SPOUSE'S AFFECTION

CONSIDERATION AND TRUE COMPASSION IS A VITAL
AREA TO ENCOUNTER ALL THE BLESSINGS GOD HAS
INTENDED.

Scripture says that with Salvation we are as married to Christ
Read Romans 7: 4 & 6
We are to relate in accordance to the Spirit of GOD
The Spirit of Truth prepares us and set us free
Liberated from areas that would hinder us and bind us captive.

THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY
This includes thoughts as well as deeds
We are called to have pure thoughts that relate to
God and His word which will likewise affect our
relationship in marriage.

8th COMMANDMENT

THE RIGHTS OF PROPERTY

There are many kinds of stealing. We even see this stated
in TV commercials. There are though more than stealing
things that belong to others. There is spiritual thievery as
well.

We are to work with our own hands using the abilities that
GOD has given us
1 Cor. 12 speaks of a diversity of gifts, all of which are needful.
Eph. 4 reveals that balance when God is in control whereby
all will be edified and taught in accordance to the leading of
the Holy Spirit. The Great Physician is now making all
necessary adjustments so that believers will not be out of joint
but relate as one in Christ.

May we never steal another's dream or destroy another’s hope.
We are to encourage one another to be that which GOD has
intended.

THOU SHALT NOT STEAL

THIS INVOLVES THE THINGS THAT BELONG TO OTHERS,
WHICH COVER A GREAT VARIETY OF AREAS.

How many consider that hug organization which is so prosperous,
will never miss this or that, or will never miss that extra time
one takes off. These same individuals are so surprised when that
same company goes bankrupt. Let us take careful look at our
part in relating as a true Christ centered bible believing Christians.

May we be content wherein God has set us as we focus on the
LORD JESUS CHRIST and appropriate that which is in keeping
with being a true child, of GOD'S KINGDOM.

9th COMMANDMENT

FALSE UNFOUNDED STATEMENTS
FALSE OATHS WHICH DEPRIVE MAN
OF HIS LIFE OR HIS RIGHTS
ALL WHISPERING, TALEBEARING, SLANDERING
LISTENING TO SATAN'S IDEAS
INJURING ANOTHER IN HIS GOODS, PERSON or CHARACTER

ALL THE ABOVE IS AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND
CONTRARY TO THE STANDARD OF GOD'S WORD

TO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH gives the enemy unfounded opportunity.

OUR WORDS ARE TO BE SANTIFIED WORDS

THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS
AGAINST THY NEIGHBOUR.

WE ARE CALLED TO BE TRUSTWORTH
AND TRUTHFUL.

May we be channels of the Power and Presence of GOD
TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

May it be said that our words truly reflect the reality of
the LORD JESUS CHRIST in all our encounters in life.

10th COMMANDMENT

COVETOUS...an inordinate desire for unpossessed goods

AN INTERNAL MENTAL STATE BEING THE ROOT OF
EVERY SIN AGAINST ONES NEIGHBOUR.

The basic sin of Adam and Eve to desire that which is not
God's will to give.

TO DESIRE, TO LONG AFTER FOR ONE'S OWN PLEASURE
OR ENJOYMENT DEPRIVING THE RIGHTFUL OWNER..
INDIFFERENCE TO THE RIGHTS AND DESIRES OF OTHERS.
INDIFFERENCE TO GOD'S WILL

COVETEOUSNESS...IS THE CORE or ROOT to APATHY
INDIFFERENCE and LAZYNESS.

WE ARE CALLED TO DESIRE GOD'S WILL and PURPOSE
TO BE HIS CHANNEL IN ALL WAYS
MAY WE COVET TO BE HIS VESSEL FOR HIS PLAN
AND ULTIMATE PURPOSE.

THE HEALING POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT CAUSES
OUR DESIRES TO BE SANCTIFIED and CLEANSED
FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOURS HOUSE,
THOU SHALT NOT CODVET THY NEIGHBOURS WIFE,
NOR HIS MANSERVANT NOR HIS MAIDSERVANT,
NOR HIS OX, NOR HIS ASS, OR ANYTHING THAT IS
THY NEIGHBOURS.

We are to be content wherein GOD has so set us.

THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

One way to lose hope for a good future is to be
stuck to a bad past. One way to find hope is to
forgive the past. To forgive is to unglue ourselves
from bad things people did to us yesterday. And
to free ourselves from the bad things we did to
others…or ourselves. Becoming a more forgiving
person always, not sometimes, but always, turns us
into a more hopeful person. Dr. Smedes

GOD BLESS WITH THE REALITY OF HIS LOVE

JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY
AND FOREVER.

ABIDE IN CHRIST and RELATE TO
THE WORD OF GOD....

His mercy is nigh thee whithersoever thou goest.

IS CHRIST YOUR SAVIOUR AND
LORD OF YOUR LIFE?

CHOOSE WISELY IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY


MAY JESUS CHRIST BE YOUR SAVIOR AND THE
LORD OF YOUR LIFE. IT IS A PERSONAL
RELATIONSHIP, WHICH WILL RELEASE THE POWER
AND PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THUS
AFFECT EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE, AS YOU
RESPOND TO THE REALITY OF GOD’S LOVE.
