CDs to Benefit Our Friends at GQ and AAG
Friends,
As you know, I am a songwriter, and lately I have felt God leading me on an exciting new path. So I'd like to tell you about it. I have been taking the words to old hymns and reworking them with new music that I hope will appeal to more modern audiences. I am nearly ready to record these songs, but I do not have the money to fund the project.
Each CD costs $4 to make, and the printers do them in runs of 1000. If I sell all 1000 CDs at 16 per, I will gain 4x on my investment, which is great. What I'd really like to do is donate the proceeds ($16,000) to GotQuestions / AllAboutGod ministries. However, first I need to raise the $4000 needed to record, print and package 1000 CDs.
Then, I will go anywhere I can, perform and sell the discs and the returns will go to benefit AAG and GQ. What's cool is that, while I'm out performing, I can spread the word about the ministries as well as raising funds for them with the CD sales. If anyone thinks this is a good idea and if you think people who support these ministries would donate to this project, please let me know.
I'm praying for clarity on this. I'll be looking forward to your feedback!
