OUR MANY GARDENS
Every relationship… to us a garden brings
Blessings and nourishment… from every garden springs
Every garden tended, it must be
Weeds and rocks and storms will come
Nourished for eternity
Our garden with the One true God
Is the first in our life
We toil and till and bless the soil
We work in spite of strife
Faith is what He wants from us
Devotion to His will
Many gardens He trusts to us
If not our works stand still
There is that deceitful one
A viper he chose to be
In our gardens he slithers forth
His goal is enmity
We bind that usurping snake
That one who challenged God
We bind him in our Fathers name
On his head we plod
For he is banished from our soil
Our heals he may bite
But in the end he is no match
For our Fathers might
