It has been awhile since I posted anything. Last Thursday my mother passed away. She went to be with the Lord while she slept. The funeral was Saturday. I have waves of emotion that run over me like I have never felt before. When my cousin died in 2002 I didn't feel this way. When my dad died of cancer in 2006 I didn't feel this way. I knew losing my mom would be hard but I never realized it would be this hard.
Last Friday I was listening to some Chris Tomlin songs. I felt I was sitting in the…

I have been going through a period of depression and despair, especially this past weekend. I wasn't sure what the problem was. I took some antidepressants but that didn't seem to work. I have been really tired but unable to get a full night's sleep.
I am scheduled for a complete physical on Thursday. At almost 56 years of age I am sure some of my parts aren't working as well as they used to. I can certainly feel the difference. And I have gained weight like never before. So, I guess I am a lit…

Don't call them unborn babies.
Don't call them unborn children.
Don't call them "The Unborn."
Just call them babies.
Just call them children.
Place of residence should not determine their status as human beings.
Place of residence should not determine their status as persons.
When your children are inside your house do you call them "my in-home children?"
When they are outside your house do you call them "my out-of-home children?"
No. You simply call them your children.
By calling them…

Barack Obama is the most pro-abortion President this country has ever had. He’s not even “pro-choice.” Consider the following:
Obama thinks that partial birth abortion is a "legitimate medical procedure" and voted in favor of partial birth abortions.
Obama opposed legislation protecting babies who survive abortion.
Obama opposed parental notification of minor girls before they can obtain an abortion.
Obama stated “the first thing I’d do as president would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act…

LIFE CHAIN is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life Americans standing for one hour praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the Church supports the sanctity of Human Life from the moment of conception.
This year's Life Chain will be held on October 4, 2009.
Find out if your community is sponsoring a Life Chain. If not, then YOU sponsor one.

Every Christian should be involved in this campaign to help bring an end to abortion. It's called 40 Days for Life. It begins September 23 and runs through November 1.
40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:
Prayer and fasting
Constant vigil
Community outreach
40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, f…

The pro-abortion side of the abortion debate has won in the past, not because their arguments were logical or well-founded, but because of emotional appeals. They kept telling us that abortion promotes equal rights, that those who oppose abortions are intolerant, and that abortions heal women who have been raped. Meanwhile, they were allowed to get away with arguments like, "the fetus is just a blob of tissue," "the fetus is not a human being," "the fetus is just part of the woman's body," and "…

The Reason for Rescuing
"Rescuing" is a united action in which people peacefully place their bodies in front of the entrances of an abortion clinic. The purpose is to prevent access to the clinic, and to thereby save the lives of unborn children who would otherwise be killed shortly after their mothers enter the building.
Of course, mothers denied entrance still have the option of rescheduling an appointment at another time, at the same clinic or a different one. But the rescue accomplis…

Wichita, KS - Operation Rescue is asking women who have had abortions by LeRoy Carhart in the past five years to contact them. "We are conducting a research project and are encouraging women who are ready to share their stories about their abortion experiences with LeRoy Carhart to contact us as soon as possible," said Operation Rescue Senior Policy Advisor Cheryl Sullenger. "Of course, all communications with us will be held in strictest confidence."

Many people ask us,
"Why do you show those sickening, bloody pictures?"
Let us briefly explain our purpose for displaying the photographs:
Ending Censorship
We display these photographs because the media has censored the preborn child from the "abortion debate.” The American press refuses to show the American people what these babies look like who are dying in the womb. We are simply attempting to bypass that media blackout by going to the streets and displaying these photographs.
Now t…

From MISSIONARIES TO THE PREBORN
Preborn children are the most oppressed people group in the world today. In America, 4500 of them are murdered by abortion every day. That is a million and a half every year. Worldwide, 55 million are murdered every year.
All across the world there has been a campaign to strip preborn children of their humanity. They have been called "blobs of tissue," "products of conception," and "fetuses." All these terms are meant to dehumanize the preborn, in order…

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, says the number of threats has increased since the slaying of George Tiller. Three Wichita-based anti-abortion groups say they have received death threats in response to last month's killing of George Tiller.
For years, Operation Rescue has received threats, but the number increased markedly after Tiller's killing, the group's president, Troy Newman, said Thursday. Some of the threats have been aimed at anti-abortion activities planned in Wichita this…

I am going to try and read a couple of books from the pro-abortion perspective. One is about a woman who tries to justify why she became an abortionist. The other is about the so-called "terrorist" actions by those of us who abhor the killing of babies. I can only read a few pages before I have to put the books down. But I will try and finish them so I can maybe understand how the enemy works.
No, I will not reveal the titles of the books because I don't want to promote them.

HOW COME AMERICA?
We brake for animals
We save the seals and
Protect the whales
We declare some birds endangered species
We even recycle to save the Earth
But we MURDER our unborn children?
*****************************
A great gap appears in the otherwise consistent opinions of the left about preserving life.
These opinions are:
Anti-nuclear war
Anti-capital punishment
Anti-environmental degradation
You can't kill murders for their crimes,
Elephants for their tusks,
Minks…

The Roe v. Wade decision has provoked the most serious ethical crisis in the history of the United States. This is the nadir in American jurisprudence, the moment of the state's greatest failure to be a state. (pp. 91-2)
Resistance to unjust laws and dehumanizing practices may be costly. Those who resisted Hitler's policy of genocide in Germany often paid with their lives. Dietrich Bonho…
