Introduction
The following rebuttal is in reference to the atheist propagandist website http://www.evilbible.com. One would have hoped that the authorship would have taken the opportunity to present a more intellectually rigorous case as far as the integrity of the Bible is concerned and the authenticity of the claims therein. Indeed, some people new in their faith may at first have been somewhat apprehensive about reading the arguments presented, lest the sheer weight of evidence… Continue

Today I want to look with you at the doctrine of self-denial and regeneration. My focus will be on the thirteenth chapter of Matthew’s Gospel, verse 44-46:-
44"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
45"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
The con… Continue
I want you to take a few moments to consider the following question: What means most to you in your life right now? What is the greatest of goals you pursue?
Success?
Power?
Love?
Happiness?
Health?
Wealth?
Prosperity?
Fame?
After thinking on your answer, consider the same question from a different angle. Will your priorities change at all when you are on your deathbed?
Let’s take it a step further…
Will your priorities change at all after you have died? After all, since there is a 100% deat… Continue
Romans 5:6-8 (New International Version)6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John Calvin once had this to say:
“Our wisdom, in so far as it ought to be deemed true and solid Wisdom, consists almost entirely of tw… Continue
The following rebuttal is in reference to the preceding fact-free youtube video, a product of an infamous atheist website http://www.godisimaginary.com, notorious for ripping dozens of Bible verses out of their original context and intended meaning, constructing a series of caricatures, and strawman arguments, which they set alight in a vain effort to discredit Christianity. Their website is also filled with major logical fallacies.

One website I stumbled across recently is that of the relatively new Cafh cult, which can be located at http://www.cafh.org/english/index.htm. Below I have composed a detailed rebuttal to many of the assertions made on the site.

Cafh:- Throughout the world, members of Cafh meet regularly in small groups to study, meditate, and share ideas about inner work, always with the intention to learn, to expand our consciousness and to improve the quality of our lives and the communities in wh… Continue
The “God-of-the-gaps” mentality refers to a perception of God in which anything which currently can be explained by our knowledge of natural phenomena is considered outside the realm of divine interaction, and thus the concept of “God” is invoked to explain what science is, as yet, incapable of.
The idea is that as scientific research progresses, and an increasing volume of phenomena are explained naturalistically, the role of God diminishes accordingly. The major criticism commonly states that… Continue
I believe the Ice Age was almost certainly a direct consequence of the global Flood which would have largely disrupted world climate. It is Michael Oard, who is attributed to first coining the most popular creationist ice-age model which I briefly discuss here.Due to much volcanic activity during and immediately after the Flood, there would have been considerable volcanic dust and other particles trapped in the stratosphere in the decades preceding the Flood. This would have caused the sunlight… Continue
Carbon-14 dating, as with any “dating” method, employs scientific procedures in the present to interpret what happened in the past. No-one alive today was present to observe the past, and so when one is trying to comprehend how certain evidence came to be, one is basically trying to connect the past to the present. While the procedures used are not necessarily disputable, the interpretations drawn from observations are to be questioned.
Carbon-14 “dating” essentially works by value of the fact t… Continue
The short answer is ‘no’, the Bible does not teach a geocentric philosophy. A number of passages are often used by sceptics to justify this claim, including 1 Chronicles 16:30, Psalm 93:1, and Psalm 96:10, which employs the phrase “the world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.” The Hebrew word “mowf”, meaning “moved” is of the niphal stem, which is found often referring to the passive voice, which I believe it is doing in this context. In the English translations, “to be moved” or “not to… Continue
In order to reason coherently we use the laws of logic. But why do the laws of logic hold? There has to be an ultimate standard of absolute logic which we are to pattern our reasoning after. The laws of logic are essentially a reflection of the mind of God. The laws of non-contradiction, for instance, is hardly a subjective entity. We read in 2 Timothy 2:13 that God cannot disown Himself, and thus God and therefore his creation is necessarily non-contradictory because the Creation reflects God’s… Continue
This is a very interesting topic, and one to which I devote much study. It is somewhat depressing to see so many generations of students being subjected to increasingly secular, naturalistic teaching, while many of the church have abandoned their teaching of the validity of the book of Genesis as a real historical document, and have instead widely embraced the secular teaching concerning origins.
One thing which has been of interest to me lately is the challenge of constructing a solid argument… Continue
We read in 1 Peter 3:15 that we are to be always “prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” Therefore we should point out flaws in the positions of unbelievers, but we should do this with a gentle spirit, with the aim of winning their heart for Christ. We should therefore be careful about when we enter into arguments or debates with unbelievers and look at your motivation – are you doing this becau… Continue
The alleged big bang is not repeatable, testable or ultimately falsifiable by operational science. It does not make predictions that can be confirmed by experimentation. Let’s explore some of the fundamental scientific fallacies associated with the Big bang model. A hypothetical magnetic-like particle (called a monopole), as its name would suggest, has only one pole. The monopole has either a ‘north’ or a ‘south’ pole, but not both.
Scientists who are proponents of the Big Bang model hold that… Continue
The transition to complex, ‘higher’ organisms from ‘lower’, simpler ones requires constructive, ‘beneficial’ mutations. Neo-Darwinists recognise that the source of variation is genetic variability and the enhanced competence of the fitter phenotypes to survive necessitates a selection process, whereby the less advantageous genes are weeded out, and so an automatic consequence of such a process is that overall genetic variability will decrease progressively. Therefore, it follows that for evoluti… Continue
One challenge I have received from evolutionists during many discussions, is that the second law of thermodynamics does not apply to open systems (like earth), and so the process by which evolution, in the neo-Darwinian sense, is driven does not violate it. However, raw energy without a mechanism to harness it will STILL increase the entropy in ANY system – consider me putting a bull in a china shop. I am thus importing energy into an open system, but the disorder will increase invariably.
For o… Continue
