This is a short article I've just received, and I couldn't help but post it here. It gripped my heart as I hope it will yours.
I believe in these last days, Christ is preparing us, His Bride with some wake-up calls to mercy. And I believe this is one of them:
HOW a FOUR-DAY BUSRIDE CHANGED my WORLD
-by J. Lee Grady.
Last month God used a poor pastor from Malawi to challenge my
suburban American priorities.
When I arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, last month to conduct a women's
conference, my host,…

Fear is of our enemy Satan, the father of lies, and springs forth from
an evil heart of unbelief in the loving, providing and protecting nature of our Father in Heaven and His promises to us.
(Heb 3:12-14) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the
deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christ,…

Whenever we worry about anything on earth to the point where it becomes a fear, it has become an obsession. Have you ever heard the saying, "We will realize our worst fears."?
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Whenever we become obsessed with anything, it has become our god. And for those of us who are God's children, our loving Father will have no gods before Him in our lives.
God wants to be the only object of our ob…

Let's meet up in heaven, okay?
If you are a true born-again believer in Jesus Christ, then you are saved and your eternal life has begun. That makes us brothers and sisters in Christ.
So it looks like we are going to spend eternity together with Jesus and our Father, wherever They are, in "the Kingdom of Heaven", free from all the evils in this world, in an existence where evil and our own flesh will have no more influence on us, free from all our weaknesses and infirmities.
1Jn 3:2-3 Beloved…

The truth is that we are each alone in the world.
I am all alone in this world, just me and my Lord Jesus. He is the only one who will, and can, go the whole distance with any one of us.
Even the most loving parent or spouse can only go so deep and so far with us. Depression taught me that. In the time of my most desperate need, even my own loving mother had to draw the line of her own sacrifice and involvement. That's when I had the wide-eyed realization that when all the chips are down, when…

"But there are those who are conscious before God that they are rich. And, doubtless, some among you are of the number. You have more of the goods of this world than is needful either for yourself or your family. Let each consider for himself. Do your riches increase? Do not you understand that plain expression? Have you not more money, or more of money's worth, than you had ten or twenty years ago, or at this time last year?" ~ John Wesley
"Craving clarity, we attempt to eliminate the risk of…

Nearly everyone has a distorted self-image. We are typically our own worst judges not only of our physical appearance, but also of our character and personality. No matter how much we look at ourselves in the mirror and consider our impressions on others, we cannot see ourselves as others really see us. Mostly, I attribute this to a sort of spiritual blindness.
And our only accurate self-image should be how God our Father sees us.
When we look at ourselves in a mirror, though we may be able to…

Of Christ or of Antichrist?
How shall we regard those who appear or profess to be of the faith, but who profess heresies? Do we consider them as brothers in Christ, members of the Body? Or do we consider them to be antichrists?
...and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2:18, KJV)
As we know, there are some who profess, and may even appear at first glance to be, evangelists of Christ and the…

For many years now I've often heard fellow believers tell me, "God has a wonderful plan for you!" and each time I think
I wish I knew what it is and when it's gonna start.
God's plan for me and my plan for myself haven't necessarily always been the same, even after my salvation. I certainly want them to be the same. I want to do exactly whatever He wants me to be doing with my life. Why wouldn't I? I want the occupation He has for me, the one He knows is best. I want to work always, but…

This study on Salvation goes hand-in-hand with my posted article "SALVATION: THE FREE GIFT".
Below are listed all the scriptures I've found concerning the truth about salvation and eternal life.
I believe this study will eliminate the "eternal security vs. conditional salvation" confusion for anyone interested. And I not only welcome comments on this, I covet them whether positive or not. "Iron sharpens iron".
Remember, excerpts from God's Word are merely pointers referencing context, a…

My dear Brothers and Sisters, the following is a TRULY AMAZING and entertaining email I've received that was sent out by Bob Reid of Faithtech Ministries. No kidding, you MUST read it! I guarantee you'll be glad you did! I'm certain that it's one you will want to keep for reference!
If you're ever in the position to witness to an atheist or agnostic, this is one that they will not be able to dispute! It's a VERY POWERFUL testimony to God in this secular, atheistic, Darwinistic world we live in…

There's no doubt in my mind that God wants those of us who are His chosen children to live in joy always. Not happiness necessarily, but joy always.
Happiness is merely a fleeting feeling dependent upon our circumstances, but joy is a possible condition of the heart
regardless of circumstances. How else could the Apostles have sung praises to the Lord while being tortured and murdered?
Jesus died to make it possibe for us to have the kind of intimate relationship with God our Father tha…

We've all heard the objection:
"But it was written by men and translated, so how can we know it's true?"
Of course, it's God's Word and it's the Truth, and we of faith believe it. In fact, it is the ONLY fully reliable, completely infallible source of Truth in the world, written by the Master and Creator of the Universe Himself. It is perfect. No one has ever found a single error in it, though many very intelligent people have tried very hard over the years, most of whom have become beli…

The Bible tells us that we are all sinners and the penalty of sin is death; but…

"Is Christ divided?" (1 Corinthians 1:13)
"That they
all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also
may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:21, KJV, emphasis added)
As we know, Jesus will be coming and probably very soon to unite with His bride, the Body of Christ. I believe He is in the process right now of preparing His bride, and I believe this message is one of the many things He is doing to accomplish t…

We've probably all heard this question: If God exists, why doesn't He just prove Himself to us?
Every belief that each and every person has is based on only one of two things: It's either based on proof, or in the absence of proof it's based on a chosen belief. Any chosen belief without proof is a type of "faith". Therefore, I conclude that every belief each of us holds is based either on hard proof or on faith.
Proof is irrefutable evidence of fact, and our belief about it is determined for u…

The beliefs of some organized religions and cults are that Jesus was God's first creation, or that He and Lucifer were originally brothers, or that He is just a highly enlightened prophet of God. But these ideas are contrary to the scriptures in the Word of God - the Bible. The truth is not what we suspect to be true; Truth is only what is clearly and explicitly written in God's Word, and we must believe only what the scriptures clearly state!
There are even some so-called Christians who, citin…

Have you ever been skydiving? Would you like to know what it's like? This is a true story.
I've jumped three times, all solo, and I'd do it again. Don't worry - any potential for injuries are greatly minimized by the mandatory training you receive before your first solo jump. Yes, there's training required. Wouldn't you rather have it that way? If not for the jumping, at least for the landing? You train all day then you make your first jump right afterwards.
The jumpmaster is the experienced j…

Can you remember sitting around with friends, contemplating the universe and the meaning of life? I can. I remember as a young man saying things like, "Wow, man, I think when we die, we just float around the universe exploring different planets and stuff." Another would respond to my profound insight with something like, "I dunno, man, I think when we die we just return to mother nature." Then, someone else might add something like, "Hey, I wanna come back as a talking llama with two heads."
Is…
