Hello again! I am so happy to see how much my brothers and sisters in Lord Jesus love me! I want to be able to reply to everyone that has come to respond to my cry for help. Thank you.
I still feel that heavy feeling that I am not cared for, or that my thoughts have caused God to be away from me....I understand these feelings are not connected to reality....but why do I still feel so strongly?
I decided to do more research, but then I found a sentence that bothered me, once again.
"Anyone who…

Hello once more, my dear brothers and sisters in my Lord Jesus Christ. I have posted before that I do suffer from depression and OCD, both give me hollow feelings and plague me with intrusive thoughts and excessive worries, especially about God and Jesus, and my connection with them....
There has been one word that has kept popping into my mind, and has caused me much stress and to pray over and over for forgiveness for that.... That word would be "no". I have feared it meant like saying no to…

Loves' hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Hopeth all things, is the KJV of 1 Cor 13:7 for the study we will look at today.
This word Hopeth, all by itself, was "elPIS" in the original text and simply meant to desire of some good with the expectation of obtaining it.
Generally. Spoken especially of those who experience the hope of salvation through Christ, eternal life, and blessedness. Of a hope in or on someone, i.e., trust, confidence.…

Breathe and Push
Change was taking place, something bright, something new.
A life was taking shape, but what is was, no one knew.
No one expected, no one prepared, just another day in another life.
Business as usual it seemed, until something wasn't right.
Sickness in the morning, a great hunger in the afternoon,
A change was taking place, that much, to her, unfortunately was true.
"What is going on with me? Why do I look and feel this way?"
"Life was better before this happened," that, she…

When I was a young man, my sister and I were walking home from a dance. We frequented this weekly event every Saturday night because sis loved to dance. At the time, I had just turned sixteen and Judy was only thirteen and in the eighth grade. She was very mature and beautiful for her age. We were (and still are) the best of friends.
Suddenly, from the shadows, a young man in uniform materialized, which startled us. Judging solely by his looks, I figured him to be about nineteen or twenty. His…

Many people have heard the story of
Jesus walking on water. That can be found in
Matthew 14:22-27:
22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. 24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting…

God is Good Even in the Dark Hours of Life
God is good even in the dark hours of life, not because of what He does, but because of Who He is. I often find people struggling with trusting God when they experience pain in this life of some sort. Many times this pain is associated with the loss of a loved one or close friend. I want to share my experience, my losses in life, and give hope for a bright today and tomorrow.
Since 1992 my wife and I have lost 10 people, of which one was over 80, one…

This study on Salvation goes hand-in-hand with my posted article "SALVATION: THE FREE GIFT".
Below are listed all the scriptures I've found concerning the truth about salvation and eternal life.
I believe this study will eliminate the "eternal security vs. conditional salvation" confusion for anyone interested. And I not only welcome comments on this, I covet them whether positive or not. "Iron sharpens iron".
Remember, excerpts from God's Word are merely pointers referencing context, a…

There's no doubt in my mind that God wants those of us who are His chosen children to live in joy always. Not happiness necessarily, but joy always.
Happiness is merely a fleeting feeling dependent upon our circumstances, but joy is a possible condition of the heart
regardless of circumstances. How else could the Apostles have sung praises to the Lord while being tortured and murdered?
Jesus died to make it possibe for us to have the kind of intimate relationship with God our Father tha…

HE IS THE GOD OF TODAY

" He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU…

Ok, everybody. I didn't go to church this morning. I was kinda burnt out after going to the study the other nite and just needed a break from ritual. I don't want my going to church to become a habit, or worse yet, a rut. I want it to feel new and fresh, and I actually want to go because I feel the urge to be there with the Lord and all my brothers and sister, and not because I am expected to be there.
I was glad when Todd finally made it home yesterday. It was awful without him and I was overj…

COURAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF ADVERSITY
Adversity is a great test of our courage. Courage is an attribute that God demands of us as we trek the road of life. Let us look at courage from a scriptural stand point. There are several different uses in the Scripture. Understanding these…

To truly love you have to give up control and risk getting hurt. This is a scary thing; however, those who won’t take the risk will not get to truly know what love is or how great it feels. To truly love God, you have to give up yourself. You give up control of your life, and you place it in God’s hands. Then and only then will you begin to receive all the love God has for you.
Lack of trust is a wall between you and God. That wall must be broken down before true relationship can begin. You…

Do you sometimes find it difficult to motivate yourself to spend time with the Lord? When we think about that, it really doesn't make sense. God has all the power and all the wisdom that we could ever need. Why do we go and ask other people what to do about a situation when we should be asking the one who knows everything. I think some of it is because when we talk to another person, they are right in front of us. We can see them, hear them, and touch them. It doesn't take any faith to talk t…

To live by faith means to "Totally Trust God for Everything!" Now really think about that. "Everything". Your job, your spouse, your relationships, your money, your car, your positions, and every situation. Everything! It means when things don't make sense in the natural that you have the belief that God is working everything out, even when it looks like things are falling apart. It is knowing that things are actually falling "together". It means trusting that everything will be ok. How hard…

Have you ever really listened to the words you speak? When I was first learning how important my thoughts and words were to my life, I started listening to what I was speaking. At the time I was working on my thoughts trying not to allow any negative ones in my mind, but while I was working on that I started noticing all the negative things I was speaking.
The words didn't seem like much, but as I kept track it really accumulated. They were just small things like "traffic is going to be bad"…

Yes, I believe Barack Obama's historical election to the US Presidency and his celebrated inauguration on January 20, 2008 as an African American indicates clearly that the Lord rules in the kingdoms of men. In a country where discrimination against African Americans was formally insitutionalized in the society as recently as just about four decades ago and which has a congress of only one African American senator among a hundred senators, it is an acclaimed astonishment that Barack Obama, an Af…

Echoes of Joy
By Darlene Hight
Joyous melody stood, barely able to breathe as the Conductor moved closer.
"Is it my turn?", he asked in a whisper.
"Not yet." the Conductor answered "Your time will come and it will be glorious, well worth the wait."
Tears stung Joyous Melody's eyes as crushing disappointment entered his spirit.
I can't bare the wait. What good is a song that can't be expressed? Music shouldn't have to wait. Should it? When? When will it be my time?
Years past and…
