"Is it true the heart doth cry".
"I hope it is" said dry eye.
"I often hear it's desperate plea",
was the response from bended knee.
Again. the mind surprised by this,
"what cause has brought such amiss".
And then the lips said "hold on there,

I'd like to share with you a prayer by Pr Onesmus. This is the path of his latest devotional conviction.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lord, take a look at my hand.
Take a look at my heart.
Mold it and refine it and set me apart.
I want to run to Your altar to catch the fire,
to stand in the gap for the lost world.
Give me a heart of comp…
THE OPEN HEART SURGERY Series is a group of stories about people who have fallen through the crack, some would say. People, who, for one reason or another, have dropped out of society, hidden away. Some have gotten to that point on their own, while others have been pushed there by the circumstances of an evil world. But I believe The Lord wants us to look at them, listen to them, find them, and re…
SERVING OTHERS
CHERRY M. STOLTZ © 2007
Am I To Be A Suffering Servant Too?
Am I really called to be like Christ?
Am I called to lay down my life for my brother?
Am I to love my neighbour as I love myself?
Is this possible?
Yes, my child . . .
But, Lord, who is my neighbour?
Is he the one next door who gets under my skin,
and reminds me least of You?
The one who is constantly complaining and abrasive?
The thorn in my side?
Or the one I married?
My other half who demands my attention but f…
WHAT IF ALL THIS IS RIGHT???
That should be the question we ask when we hear of a brother in desperate need. But I have discovered that the normal human reaction is...
"WHAT IF THIS IS WRONG? WHAT IF IT'S A HOAX? I WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!!"
So we close our wallets and our hearts to the need.
We become more concerned about protecting our precious money than we do about protecting our precious brother.
From some tough experiences I've been through lately, I have learned a lot…
Nearly everyone has a distorted self-image. We are typically our own worst judges not only of our physical appearance, but also of our character and personality. No matter how much we look at ourselves in the mirror and consider our impressions on others, we cannot see ourselves as others really see us. Mostly, I attribute this to a sort of spiritual blindness.
And our only accurate self-image should be how God our Father sees us.
When we look at ourselves in a mirror, though we may be able to…
(Another from Aug07 - see previous posts!!)
Hey, I’ve had a change of mind. I’ve been doing some more reading about truth, and discovered something different.
Believing the truth, really isn’t the most important thing. I discovered that believing the truth is the result of something more important.
The MOST important thing is to LOVE THE TRUTH!! We firstly need to be SINCERE IN OUR HEART!! That is what God looks at. To start with, the belief system could be completely wrong because of…
The words, “God is faithful, and He will do it!” came to mind when I was looked at this photo. It needed a text to put in the corner.
But then I asked, “He will do WHAT??” I thought I should look up the context…
The NKJ says:
“Now may the God of peace HIMSELF sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.…
YOUR LOVE, O LORD, IS ALWAYS PRESENT
I HAVEN'T BEEN THE ONE TO RECIEVE THIS LOVE IN THE PAST.
FOR I REFUSED TO LET YOU IN.
AS MY LIFE DRIFTED ON, I KNEW I NEEDED TO COME TO YOU.
I REFUSED, AND WENT MY OWN WAY.
ONE DAY I HEARD MORE CLEARLY OF YOUR LOVE FOR ME.
AND IT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY.
I KEPT REPEATING IN MY HEAD, THE SPOKEN WORDS OF YOUR LOVE,
THEY TOLD I COULD FIND ALL THE SPOKEN WORDS FROM YOU, IN THIS BOOK
CALLED THE " THE BIBLE " .
IT TOOK ME SOME TIME LORD, I FINALLY OPENED MINE.
AND THE…
My father has lived with a heart murmur all his life, he developed it as a young child from scarlet fever. In the past the doctors were mistaken when they thought he had a heart attack. I was about 8 years old when that happened. That is when they found his heart condition. He has been on many different medications for treatment on his heart.
About a year ago they had found that is heart had gotten worse. They said that one side of his heart was pumping much faster then the other side. The doct…
Does God Answer our prayer?
God tells us to give our concerns to him. Even as the situation remains dismal, "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."12 The circumstances may look out of control, but they aren't. When the whole world seems to be falling apart, God can keep us together. This is when a person can be very grateful that they know God. "The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made kn…
I am still searching for my purpose in life, believe it or not. Exactly what is it that I am supposed to do? This is especially troubling since I found out that the heart attack I survived in November 2005 is actually called "the widow maker," as it kills about 95% of its victims.
I have been advised to: go into counseling (even counseling psychology), become a teaching pastor, start writing, go into discipleship, and/or become a chaplain at a hospital (look at all my experience!) or a law enfo…
