Hello my friends! Hope you are well on this day the Lord has given us. I come today to invite the elders of this church to lend your prayers for a precious group of people. The group I speak of is the healingPRAYERs group right here on AAG. We are a group dedicated to serving one another in prayers for healing. I ask that you will accommodate us with your unique gift of service, as the bible proclaims you own. As you may well know, James 5:14 states, "Are there any sick among you? Let them call… Continue

Corinthians 10: 31, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
“If any occupation or association is found to hinder our communion with God or our enjoyment of spiritual things, then it must be abandoned. Beware of ‘leprosy’ in the garment. (Lev. 13:47) Anything in my habits or ways which mars happy fellowship with the brethren or robs me of power in service, is to be unsparingly judged and made an end of— ‘burned.’ (Lev.13:52) Whatever I cannot do for… Continue

Matthew 7: 22, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast our devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
The typical church in America today has abandoned the Bible as the only measure of truth. We have prostituted ourselves by welcoming the world and its ways into our daily lives and into our churches. Where holiness was once emph… Continue

I Chronicles 16: 9, “Give unto the Lord the glory due His name: bring an offering and come before Him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Life isn’t about us, it’s about God. Although God created this world for us to inhabit and enjoy, it isn’t about us. The heavens declare His glory, not ours. This world shows forth His handiwork. The ultimate point of our life on earth isn’t to have fun but to know God. There is no other reason to exist. The sad thing is that most people miss it. So… Continue

“I do”….When these words join a couple in holy matrimony are a beautiful promise of commitment. When these same words are used to join Jesus’ church to the world they are ugly, filthy, vile and disgusting.
We, Jesus’ bride, have long believed that God has been withholding something from us (that belief goes all the way back to Eve, doesn‘t it?). Looking with longing at forbidden fruits always leads to being discontent with God‘s ways and commands. Discontentment leads us to outright rebellion a… Continue

Where are the people of God today? Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness? Who long for God more than they do for food and water? Who simply must have God–or they die? Where are the people who will cry out to God to make them holy–at any cost? Those for whom spending hours before the throne of God is normal? Where are the men and women of God who love God and His Word so very much that they will give their very lives to see it taught? Who will stand up for truth even when it is unpopular?… Continue

Romans 12: 1, 2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
We need to dust off our Bibles and read it (and not just books about it) to find out what God wants from us…how… Continue
Dear Man of God,
You’ve been given a great and fearful job by Almighty God. As I sit before you week after week, I hunger for spiritual meat. I can no longer stand a cotton candy diet. Teach me the deep things of God. I want the truth about myself: I am a sinner and all of my “good-deeds” are but filthy rags before the Lord. My efforts are nothing and will never be enough to take me to heaven. I need you to explain what you have spent so long studying. Tell me how to please Him, how to obey Him… Continue
Deuteronomy 4: 24, “For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”
Wildfires sweep across plains and through great forests devouring everything in sight. Man-made or God-made, all that is in the path of the fire catches fire and burns up: trees, animals, plants, humans, houses…the fire consumes it all leaving nothing but ashes in its path.
Hebrews 12: 29, “For our God is a consuming fire.”
God is love and He wants me to be happy.
Jesus is cool, you know? He’s… Continue
The church in America, as a whole, is more interested in fitting into the world than converting the world. We have become cowards. Those who stand up and declare God‘s ways will find themselves at odds with the very ones who should be supporting them.
The church is failing to live up to all of its holy potential and take hold of all of the spiritual blessings available to her because we are failing to do three things: study God’s Word with an eye towards doing His will, pray that God’s will is… Continue
In Genesis 3: 15, God said to Satan, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
Enmity: deep seated dislike, hatred, hostility or the quality of being an enemy.
Being in a state of enmity with God is deadly serious. If we choose to love the things of the world, we are choosing to hate the things of God. I John 2: 16 states, “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of… Continue

My husband found a great church for us to go to and it's only 30 min away from our house. The sermons are great, the worship music is most uplifting, and the day care is willing to work with our unruly son. Great right? One problem...my ex and his family go there. I have seen them but so far they haven't seen me. Church is supposed to be a time to leave your problems at the altar and I'm terrified to go up there because I don't want him to know I'm there. He knew me when I wasn't at my best and… Continue

The Church That Does Not Look Like the World – Part IV
In the first two articles, we saw the following. There is a path (righteousness vs. wickedness). There is a certain look (light vs. darkness). There are two leaders (Jesus vs. Satan). There are two people groups (believers and unbelievers). There are two types of houses of worship (one dedicated to God, the other to idols or demons). In the last article we saw that the church is to be separate from the world, is the temple of God, is to pur… Continue

The Church That Does Not Look Like the World – Part II
Last time we recognized that the church is not to be yoked with the world. We established that God’s standards define the difference between righteousness and wickedness. We also established that light and darkness cannot mix. If darkness prevails in the church, it is because the church has surrendered to the world.
“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what… Continue

(This is part I of IV)
It amazes me today at how much energy is expended by both the world and the church in an attempt to bring the two together. The Bible is clear that this will never happen. If the church embraces the world then it ceases to be the shinning light of Christ (James 4:4). If the world embraces the church then it is living a lie. The mission of the church is not to change the world in such a way that it will become moral and righteous. The unsaved world will never adhere to the… Continue
