This is a very surprising intro from a stand-up comedian. SparkySeems to me that if you're going to preach. This would be the way.
Attached is Steve Harvey, a comedian, addressing a secular audience.
The subject is: "How Would You Introduce Christ to a Room Full of People?"
It's hard to imagine that this is a comedian and not a preacher, and this is an audience and not a congregation.
It must have been at the end of his routine, because...well, you'll se… Continue

The Cross of Christ
One of my greatest burdens is that the Cross of Christ is rarely explained. It is not enough to say that “He died” - for all men die. It is not enough to say that “He died a noble death” - for
martyrs do the same. We must understand that we have not fully proclaimed the death of Christ with saving power until we have cleared away the confusion that surrounds it and
expounded its true meaning to our hearers - He died bearing the transgressions of His people and suffering the… Continue
Like The Butterfly
The sun rose above the garden today,
The birds are singing and the children are at play.
I sit alone with a sad look on my face,
How I wish my life was different in this place.
I am the smallest of small and the slowest of slow,
I never get ahead and this everyone knows.
I have no friends, no family and no purpose it seems,
They point, they stare, and some even scream.
Oh how I wish someone could tell me what my life means.
I am not a worm, but I'm almost always on the grou… Continue
This is a skit we performed as a practice session to our Easter Sunday performance. It begins with a blacksmith and an assistant working with an unknowing Satan in the backround. Satan has one of his demons to order some chains and places certains sins as a symbolic link in the chains. Watch as Jesus comes to lift the burdens of the sin bound chains. It ends with an Easter spin that reminds us of the glorious act that our Lord sacrificed for us.
Skit was written by John McNei… Continue

Everyone,
I don't even know how to begin this email because my eyes are still teary and my heart is still ecstatic from the glorious things God can do in people's lives. I just read an email from an woman who watched our latest video we made. I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that our video was inspired by God himself. Since we uploaded this video, I have been getting emails and feedback about how the story has effected people on a deep, emotional level. I received this email below that te… Continue
Where are the people of God today? Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness? Who long for God more than they do for food and water? Who simply must have God–or they die? Where are the people who will cry out to God to make them holy–at any cost? Those for whom spending hours before the throne of God is normal? Where are the men and women of God who love God and His Word so very much that they will give their very lives to see it taught? Who will stand up for truth even when it is unpopular?… Continue

When I was a young man, my sister and I were walking home from a dance. We frequented this weekly event every Saturday night because sis loved to dance. At the time, I had just turned sixteen and Judy was only thirteen and in the eighth grade. She was very mature and beautiful for her age. We were (and still are) the best of friends.
Suddenly, from the shadows, a young man in uniform materialized, which startled us. Judging solely by his looks, I figured him to be about nineteen or twenty. His… Continue
The truth is that we are each alone in the world.
I am all alone in this world, just me and my Lord Jesus. He is the only one who will, and can, go the whole distance with any one of us.
Even the most loving parent or spouse can only go so deep and so far with us. Depression taught me that. In the time of my most desperate need, even my own loving mother had to draw the line of her own sacrifice and involvement. That's when I had the wide-eyed realization that when all the chips are down, when… Continue
HOW I CAME TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AND BECAME BORN AGAIN
Opening statement.
The following is a interview with some questions you might have if you have not become a follower of Jesus Christ and been born again. It is my story with God. My prayer is that you too will find salvation… Continue
"Is Christ divided?" (1 Corinthians 1:13)
"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:21, KJV, emphasis added)
As we know, Jesus will be coming and probably very soon to unite with His bride, the Body of Christ. I believe He is in the process right now of preparing His bride, and I believe this message is one of the many things He is doing to accomplish t… Continue
Can you remember sitting around with friends, contemplating the universe and the meaning of life? I can. I remember as a young man saying things like, "Wow, man, I think when we die, we just float around the universe exploring different planets and stuff." Another would respond to my profound insight with something like, "I dunno, man, I think when we die we just return to mother nature." Then, someone else might add something like, "Hey, I wanna come back as a talking llama with two heads."
Is… Continue

This is the most wonderful news in the universe — that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins and was raised from the dead three days later. Jesus was crucified and died to pay the penalty for our sins on Good Friday, almost 2,000 years ago. His body was placed in a tomb and a large stone was rolled to block the entrance to the tomb and soldiers guarded the tomb.
Three days later, on the day we celebrate as Easter Sunday, Christ rose from the dead! The soldiers shook for fear and ran,… Continue

HOW DOES THE CMF SUPPORT ITSELF FINANCIALY?
It is a Faith Mission. Those in fellowship with CMF believe that if God wishes any to continue and advance, He will supply the need. Most of the funds come from individual prayer partners, friends and a small amount comes churches overseas; we are waiting for your Faith Promise to support CMF.
Your Involvement is essential
If you agree that Christ-like child care is the answer to fill the vacuum in the heart of suffering humanity, here is an… Continue
(In our Jesus Discovery Group, we are currently discussing "Grace and Truth" [John 1:14-18]. "[Jesus] came from the Father, full of grace and truth." The OT equivalent is "Mercy and Truth", so I thought I'd share these blog posts which I posted in August 07.)
Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. (3:3-4, NKJ)
So summing up… (read the previous po… Continue

How can I serve God in my work?
Our primary "calling" is always to Christ. Os Guinness in The Call says, "First and foremost we are called to Someone (God), not to something (such as motherhood, politics, or teaching) or to somewhere (such as the inner city or Outer Mongolia)" (p. 31). However, we who are called to Christ are also "called" vocationally. God's plan for us includes our work.
There is a common idea in Christian circles that people cannot fully serve God unless they go into some k… Continue
