My story with God
Having had an intermittent relationship with God over the years, being bound by condemnation and falling away I have finally been freed because of the revilations of my Father whom has shown me that in him there is no condemnation.
We live under a new covenant with him purchased by the blood of my brother Jesus Christ.
A gift not earned by our efforts in keeping his law or our deeds, but a pure and undeserved gift given to us through Jesus that we only need call apon his name, ask for his forgivness and love him with all our heart all our mind and all of our strength, loving those to whom he loves our neighbours, our brothers and our enemies.
Gods immense compassion and forgivness beyond all human understanding. Forever be the praise to him. Amen

maggie...i want to thank you for your prayers and encouragement...regarding the narrow gates and the odds of salvation:the one thing i hold on to is that my friends odds are greatly increased because when they are under attack they turn to God...and they do practice daily...and they do have a deep and abiding love for God...you are right sis...no reason for pessimism...Give your hubby a big hug and let him know how blessed you both are...i know you do that any way : )...God's love and my brotherly love...mark

maggie...i have reported the email thing and yahoo assures me that the email addresses are in no more jeopardy than if it was i who sent the phony emails...it had nothing to do with AAG security. Please forward any info you have to me at my new email address godisforus@yahoo.com...i cannot get into my old email accounts until tomorrow or later...Yahoo is working on it...they say these "physhing" scams happen thousands of time per day. Again the email addresses in my account are not compromised beyond the bogus message and it had nothing to do with AAG security...thanks for the heads up...God's love and my brotherly love...mark

The Devil & the Duck
There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm..He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.

He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.

Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his Sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes'

But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'

Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'

So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'

Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help?

She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter:

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that:
God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing.
He has seen your whole life... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets.

It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.
When Jesus died on the cross; he was thinking of you!

And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! Isaiah 30:18 Amplified Bible

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27 Amplified Bible

"For i know the plans I have for you,"declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

A treasure keep of my Grandmothers.

The Weaver
My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colours,
He worketh steadily

Oft-times He weaveth sorrow,
And I, in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper,
And I the underside.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unrol the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful,
In the weavers skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares--
Nothing this truth can dim;
He gives the very best to those,
Who leave the choice with Him.
