Please pray for us and our country Philippines as we go through this difficult way to recovery. We were hit by typhoon ondoy last weekend and a lot of people died and properties worth millions were destroyed. You can google Ondoy or you scan the youtube for ondoy and you will see the damage this typhoon has done to us. Thank you for your prayers, my brothers and sisters.

The man who does things, makes many mistakes, but he never makes the biggest mistake of all — doing nothing.

As Christians we are so often full of criticism and comment. This brother should not have gone out to evangelise, for he has no training at all, and that sister thinks that she can lead her neighbours to the Lord. Who do they think they are? One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter.

We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts.
