Learning and applying God's Word to my life, spending time with my wife and kids, outdoor activities - camping, hunting and fishing.
I'm passionate about...
The Lord
My story with God
I was saved in 1991 and I was on fire for the Lord but my idea about how "the walk" with God was supposed to be, was wrong. Things have changed - I was baptized in 2007 and I am in God's word daily. God has done great things in my life recently. I was a nicotine addict and I am now smoke free for 20 months. Cold Turkey - praise GOD!
Other stuff about me:
I am happily married! We have two lovely daughters ages 11 and 9.
I thought that justification and sanctification were the same thing. They are not the same. I guess to some, sanctification is our walk with the Lord. I am glad to know now that I am finally moving in the right direction.
John 3:16 (New International Version)
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
“For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”- 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
May His Kingdom rises upon us.
Rob-
Thanks for your comment. I agree about obedience. For a while I didn't even know what that meant, and then I understood that God was always speaking to us, but we were locked into saying "no" continually. So, I think obedience is about getting in agreement with the Lord.
