"My tongue is the pe of a ready writer." (Psalm 45:1).
Those who have previously viewed my profile page, and those who have added me as friends, may realize that this quotation is familiar. Indeed, it still defines a beautiful element in my imperfect yet joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Nothing has changed: I still delight in the book of Revelation; 1 Thessalonians continues to bring me joy. I am still blessed upon immersing myself in soft worship music and listening to the most beautiful Biblical instrument--the harp. Still do I maintain that lilies represent the purity of the Lord, and that rainbows epitomize His promises as recorded in Genesis.
If anything, I have experienced a beautiful intensifying of my relationship with Jesus Christ. Well do I know that I am so very imperfect: I often fear rather than trusting God, I have a torrential temper, and it is very difficult for me to forgive. However, the Lord is truly beginning to strengthen me, giving me ashes for beauty, glory for sackcloth, the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness. I have love in place of fear, love in place of anger, love in place of pain, love in place of deepest grief--love, love, God's deep and marvelous love. Despite many years of pain, He has begun to mend the cracks that had hitherto adorned my heart.
Of late, I have desperately desired to write of these things. "Why," I reasoned, "perhaps the blog area could serve as practice for the book I ultimately hope to publish!" I would divide my testimony into readable sections--at least, for me. Perhaps I could center around Jesus Christ and frame my ideas with a particular theme each day. Oh, the thought was joyous!
Yet, I am beginning to see that I must take my writing elsewhere. For reasons that I do not feel fully at liberty to explain, I do not feel that this is the right community for me. From time to time, I have felt judged and reviled, corrected and rebuked. Considering that my activity on this website was performed with no intention of harming the Christian community, I am grieved by this sort of reception. I realize that all groups have members with varying needs; moreover, cases of judgment on a Christian website are generally kept to a minimum. However, the isolated cases that I have witnessed have deeply distressed me.
Consequently, I will no longer be contributing on All About God. As an inactive member, all are free to delete me as their friends. The fellowship of many has been deeply appreciated; please know that I am grieved at a situation, not at a member or a group of members. I shall continue to check my E-mail, which alerts me to any comments posted here on my profile page. I will do my best to read comments; however, due to some challenging technology, I may not be able to respond to all comments. Thank you for this unique opportunity; it has been a strengthening experience.
Blessings,
Nicole
