Three "C" Levels of Christianity

I C: Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Believe on the name Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved. Yes if you believe in Him then you will be with him in Heaven. Jesus said to the man hanging on the cross next to him that they would be in Heaven together on that day.
II C: Jesus said to store your riches in Heaven. He came as the Lamb to show us how to live life. Jesus said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Jesus told his followers to drop everything and f… Continue

psalm:91
1:He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the almighty,
2:will say of the LORD,He is my refuge and my fortress,my God, in whom i trust.
3:surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4:He will cove you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge, his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5:You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6:Nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7:Thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your righty hand, but it will not come near you.
8:You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9:If you make the most high your dwelling even the LORD,who is my refuge
10:Then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11:For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways,
12:They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13:You will tread upon the lion and the cobra, you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14:Because he loves me, says the LORD, i will rescue him, i will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15:He will call upon me, and i will answer him, i will be with him in trouble, i will deliver him and honor him.
16:With long life will i satisfy him and show him my salvation.

Dear Prayer Partner,

This is where we are going to hold the Crusade as from 7th to 13th of DECEMBER 2009.

you are at liberty to engage as many prayer worriors as possible .we need you.

The Kibera Slums in Nairobi is the largest slum in africa. University of Nairobi study found that of 120 landlords interviewed, 57 percent were either government officers or politicians, according to United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

Given that the settlements are illegal, landlords are not obliged to provide any services – no latrines or water, no electricity, no rubbish collection, no infrastructure, totally inadequate housing, no repairs or maintenance and open sewers filled with stinking, raw sewage.

That survey comes from 2002, and there’s little evidence things are much different today. Indeed, throughout Kibera one must be aware of the impact of ‘flying toilets‘:

‘Flying toilets”, are human feces wrapped in plastic. Flying toilets are a common hazard in Kibera, Africa ’s largest slum with an estimated population of 750,000 to 1,000,000.

Houses are sheds with corrugated iron roofs, roads are tracks strewn with litter, sanitation is non existent and raw sewage spills over the pathways. The stench is overpowering and disease is rife. Some 20% of children die before their fifth birthday and close to 60% of people living in the Kibera have HIV/AIDS. Few have jobs. Lives are short and high in misery, yet many people retain a sense of dignity and a desire to make something of their lives.

In the 1920s the British colonial government here decided let a group of Nubian soldiers settle on a wooded hillside outside Nairobi . The Nubians – an ethnic group from neighbouring Sudan – had been fighting on the side of the allies in World War One, as part of the King’s African Rifles.

They had done a good job, and the British were toying with the idea of keeping them on after the war. But then the colonial authorities had second thoughts, and told the Nubians they could put down their guns, and live on their hillside.

For some reason, though, the British never gave the Nubians the title deeds to their new land. The soldiers built homes, and set up businesses. But they were squatters – with no legal rights. They called the place Kibra, meaning jungle.

Over the years, other tribes moved into the area. Some managed to carve out their own plots of land. But most became tenants – renting their huts off the Nubian landlords.

Despite the self-reinforcing squalor of the homes, Kibera is also a hive of small business activity of every kind imaginable

Sewage
In most of Kibera there are no toilet facilities. One latrine (hole in the ground) is shared by up to 50 shacks. Once full, young boys are employed to empty – they take the sludge to the river. UN-Habitat and a few other agencies are trying to help and improve this situation but it is painfully slow.

Medical facilities and HIV/AIDS Clinics
In Kibera there are no government clinics or hospitals. The providers are the charitable organisations: AMREF, MSF, churches plus some others. They do a good job. All people are encouraged to have a free HIV test and if positive to take free generic ARV medicine.

Changaa
This is cheap alcoholic brew. It is widely available, very strong (over 50% alcohol) and made incorrectly, so is usually very high in Methanol. The cost is only Ksh10 per glass and after a couple of glasses people become very drunk. With over 50% unemployment in Kibera many start drinking early in the morning leading to huge problems of violence, crime, rapes etc. Several charities are trying to help by showing the Changaa makers how to make the drink less dangerous.

Drugs
Cheap drugs and glue sniffing are an increasing problem. Initially taken to alleviate boredom but then people find themselves hooked. A big challenge to the charities.
Abortion
Due to many men still not using condoms and the availability of Changaa, many girls become pregnant, at any one time about 50% of 16 to 25 yr old girls are pregnant. Most of these pregnancies are unwanted, resulting in many cases of abortion. This can be very dangerous, particularly in such a poor area as Kibera. Many charities are working on this problem.

Unemployment
Kibera is near the industrial area of Nairobi where up to 50% of the available workforce are employed (usually in fairly unskilled jobs). However, there is still an unemployment rate of 50%. This is why the training and teaching of skills is very important.

In this respect you can now see why we need the crusade in kibera. For sure this people need the hope of Christ. There are so many mashrooming cults in this place believed to be about 7000 cults un registered. And many which doctors also reside here.

In this respect we the Nairobi International Church in partnership with the pastors in Kibera and the visiting Bishop KunKun from Liberia and Evangelist Silas Eze from libera wish to hold this big crusade in kebera.
-we are planing a march for Jesus with one of the bands from the city
-we gona have road shows prio to the crusade
-we will do publicity in the radio and tv. if possible
-breafast prayer meeting with the kibera pastors- just to menssion afew

This is over welmimg we need Jesus` intervention for the success of this whole week program of "FAMILI LIBERATION CRUSADE"

hi Jared ,Its Anne again. I remembered we have talked in the chat room.
You probably know I have been married for 52 years and as my husband suffers from chronic vertigo , giving him nasty falls I don't go out much without him.
I manage to get to church as he visits some tennis friends and they bring him home later. I drive him everywhere as he is not allowed to drive anymore.
I do not like driving and find it most stressful. Having a control person in the passenger seat is not good. Anyway it is teaching me to control my tongue!!!
We have three daughters, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
I have known Jesus as my Saviour since I was nine. Through Sunday school I was given the opening to give my life to Jesus.
I have tried to live His way in all areas of my life. Sometimes doing so and some times failing. I have found things SO MUCH EASIER since I was baptized with the Holy Spirit. That happened when I was forty.
My eldest daughter turned fifty. We went out as a family for dinner on the day,
But last night her husband had arranged a surprise party for her with friends old and new. She had no idea. None of the 60+ people had breathed a word about it.
I go to a pentecostal church along with two daughters and eight grandchildren
I am the oldest person there so I have accepted the role of Church Granny. My main ministry is in my family....Being there with love in the form of coke and
chocolate when she gets home from school.
I love Jesus withall of my heart....less you abundantly.

hello, here's a joke i found at the AAG blog section! God bless you today and always.

Which Way to Heaven?

Reverend Billy Graham tells of a time early in his ministry when he arrived in a small town to preach a sermon. Wanting to mail a letter, he asked a young boy where the post office was. When the boy had told him, Dr. Graham thanked him and said, "If you'll come to the Baptist Church this evening, you can hear me telling everyone how to get to heaven."

The boy replied, "I don't think I'll be there... You don't even know your way to the post office."
