- I received the Lord in August of 1976 in a small church in Florida. I have since lived in various parts of the country and have been involved in many different types of ministry. I grew up in a home where my mother at least tried to get us to church but my brother , sisters and I weren't too interested. God had to get me 1000 miles from my friends and family to finally get my attention. God is good.

What if this was your last day?
About a month or so ago the Paastor of my church asked me to prepare a message( for lack of a better word) for a Thursday night service in July. I presented what the Lord has been dealing with me about last Thursday night.

What's a friend?
An old proverb states that " Friends are those who relate so closely to each other that when one cries the others tastes salt" .
When I first came across this proverb I was confused as to what it could possibly mean. Then it occurred to me , as it should to anyone who is a friend or parent.
When a child is hurt while playing roughly or being clumsy or just had their feelings hurt. they will come to us wanting to be held and comforted. They want someone to ' make it all better'. Then , inevitab… Continue

"I will never leave you or forsake you "..... ( uh ,oh !)
So many times we have sought and found comfort in this precious promise that the Lord left for us.It' is one of the most precious promises he gave.

- Thanks Charles...again i have been convicted...i had a very trying time with someone very recently...even though they had condemned me personally by accusing me of being of the evil slave class, a liar and a false teacher (the darkest of the dark according to God) I'm afraid i did not handle it very well...when...in a moment of weakness...i asked them how long they had been off their medication. Forgive me Father...I could have handled it sooooo much better. Please keep your comments coming Charles...God's love and mine...mark

- Hello there Charles,
Do you know how to copy stuff right off the page? Start at the top left corner of any article with your mouse pointer. Hold down the left mouse key and drag the pointer down the bottom of the page making sure that all the text is highlighted. The hit "ctrl" and "C" at the same time. That copies it. Then you can open a new word processor file and paste it there. Simply open the file, like a word or word pad file, and then hit "ctrl" "V" and that will paste it.
There is not copy write. Brother Gordon encourages use as you see fit.

Thank you for your encouragement. How nice for you to have the opportunity to visit with family and friends. You are blessed. I will be blessed this Christmas in the same way as we travel up North (brrrr..Canadian North) this Christmas to visit family.
God has been so faithful to me... He has carried me through this. There are times when He really does just carry us... Wow! I have experienced this first hand. Our Lord is so beautiful!
I am recovering very well with no complications (Praise God). The docs say that the procedure may have to be repeated in 15 to 20 years...It was heart valve replacement surgery with a natural valve...They say it lasts 15 years....sometimes more. Hopefully Jesus comes back before then.. But.. This is not about me! What I had was 'severe aortic stenosis'.. it was getting quite critical very quickly.. The docs got me in fast.. I do have a beautiful testimony of God's faithfulness thru this, and His protection.

- You know, I am covinced that our plans and His plans often do not entertwine for very good reasons. Perhaps where you are is where He needs you to be right now. Is good that you can accept that and not be too saddened that you did not get your way. God has and always has had a plan for you and your obedience and relinquishing of control will only benefit you. Is not always easy to sit and wait but if is Him we are waiting on then is worth the wait.
I hope before you long you either end up where you are happiest or become happiest where you are.
God bless you my friend and allow you to know His true plan for your life.

Is good also to know u may be moving back to NC as I am sensing that is where u would rather be. Nothing much better than living where u love to be. Am glad things are looking up for u.
All is well here; Jerry and are are enjoying life and occasional :-)) visits from the kids and grandkids. God is so good to us and I thank Him for everything.
Being ur friend is easy; ur a good person and God put us together; how could one go wrong there?
