Psalm 9:

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee. I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
But the Lord shall endure forever; he hath prepared his throne for judgement
And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgement to people in uprightness.
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Praise Is His Sanctuary

"Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion." Psalm 114:2

"Judah was his sanctuary." Let me give you a "literal" interpretation of this based on the meaning of these words. "Praise was God's Holy place of habitation." Psalm 22:3 says, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."

Do you desire more of the presence of God in your life? Then make your life a place of praise. God doesn't dwell in murmuring and complaining. He does dwell in criticism. He doesn't dwell in backbiting and gossip. He doesn't dwell where arguing is, nor does He dwell in cursing and profanity. He doesn't dwell in words of doubt, fear and unbelief. He dwells in praise.

How much time do you spend giving God praise and honor each day? Is your mouth continually filled with His praises? Do you go around your home lifting up His blessed name in praise? Praise is not just something we do in church during the song service. Praise is a lifestyle-- a lifestyle of gratitude for the One who died for us, gave His life freely to redeem us from our sins, who gives us all good things, who daily loads us with benefits, who meets and supplies every need.

His praise should continually be in our mouths (Psalm 34:1), and the starting place each day is in the morning. When you get out of bed the first thing you should do is open your mouth and begin to praise Him for keeping you safe through the night, for waking you up to the dawn of a new day, for giving you life, health, peace, salvation, for loving you, for making His sun shine upon you, for allowing you the privilege of coming to Him in prayer, for hearing your request, for giving you access into His very presence, (should I continue?). Make your life a sanctuary of praise and watch how His presence will dwell in your life in a greater way.

Be blessed

Father, I adore Thee...

If we are willing only to do what is ordinary
then we can only expect God's ordinary blessings.
Only when we are willing to do the extraordinary
are we guaranteed of obtaining God's extraordinary blessings.
Perpetual adoraton of the Blessed Sacrament
is absolutely the extraordinary effort
that God is asking for today in order that
He may bestow upon mankind His extraordinary blessings.
When we are willing to do on earth
what is done in heaven, ie., adore God perpetually,
then God will create a "new heaven" and a "new earth".

Amen...

THE COVENANT

Is Your Covenant with God Real?
1 Samuel 20:1-18

Definition of Covenant: “An Agreement or Pact”

*

God made a covenant with Adam & Eve, promising divine favor in return for obedience. (Genesis 2:16-17)
*

God made a covenant with Noah that He would survive the deluge and that there would never again be such a flood. (Genesis 6:18)
*

Other Covenants which were made include:
o

Abraham – Genesis 13:17, 17:2,4,7,11,13-14
o

The Israelites – Exodus 31:16
o

The Levites – Malachi 2:4,8
o

David – 2 Samuel 2:7, 15-16

There was also given a new covenant of a more spiritual nature…designed for all people with Christ as the Mediator.

Jeremiah 31:31-34:
31 "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD.

33 "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, " I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people

34 "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."

In this passage of scripture (1 Samuel 20:1-18) David is running from Saul, Jonathan’s father. In verse one, David asked Jonathan, “What is my sin before your father, that he is seeking my life?”

In the relationship of Jonathan and his father Saul, Jonathan said of his father in verse two, “Behold, my father does nothing either great or small without disclosing it to me.”

This means is father hid “nothing” from Jonathan….WRONG!!!

Jonathan found out in verse 33 that his father had decided to put David to death. (Some Partnership!!)

In our new covenant relationship with Jesus Christ, there are three tings we need to know:

1. Your Father does not hide anything from you. (Matthew 7:7-8) People say, “there are mysteries in the Bible that are hidden from me”. That is because your mind can’t handle all of the mysteries, but hey will be revealed one day.

2. Christ does not have to make another sacrifice for you. (Hebrews 10:10-12)

3. The Lord does not cut off His loving kindness. Psalm 107:1, Psalm 118:1 “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His loving kindness is everlasting.”

Sounds like a pretty good covenant relationship, doesn’t it?…His side..

How about our side?

Are we wavering in our covenant with God?

If we are to meet with God will our seat be empty? If it is, He will miss us.

Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful”…..

If you said, “I do” to Jesus, did you mean it?

Daily Thought

GOD SAYS, “OBEY MY VOICE”
Jeremiah 7:23-24

Jeremiah was to give this message at the Temple Gate. "Amend your ways and deeds and don’t trust in deceptive words."

Verse 23 –

“But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’”

Two Positive Principles for Obedience

1.

1 John 2:5 – The love of God has truly been perfected
2.

1 John 3:24 – He abides in us and we in Him

Verse 24 –

“Yes they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.”

Two Negative Principles of Disobedience

1.

Ephesians 5:6 – The wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience
2.

Jeremiah 15:6 – You keep going backwards

Jonah’s situation………..went backwards

Abraham’s situation…….went forwards

God stepped up with what seemed like a cruel assignment…”Kill your boy”.

This is the story about a man who knew that obedience was more important than the potential losses incurred in the sacrifice.

The story of the Bible is filled with this principle:

If you want to come into God’s presence, everything else, even your most precious possession, has to be offered up to Him.

God was so adamant about this principle that he was willing to lay down His unblemished Son on this altar.

When we hear His voice, we must obey in order to stay on course with Him….

NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS ....

Daily Devotion

The Scripture says,
“Be still and know that I am Lord.” This matter-of-fact verse does a swell job of summing it up for us. When we purpose to slow ourselves down and allow the dust to settle, then we can better hear the voice of our Shepherd speaking directly to our hearts whenever we need to regroup and put first things first.

“My sheep know my voice, and another they will not follow” (John 10:5).

All of us could probably benefit by pushing the mute button on the remote control of our daily lives. I’ve noticed that the older I get, the more I need to be comfortable within my own skin and be OK when the volume of life is turned down.

I no longer want to be uncomfortable when the silence falls and my soul begins to stir. I want to know what it is to be still and know that He is Lord. All I want to hear is the voice of Him who breathed life into my very spirit and called it…“me.”

Shhhhhh…Can you hear it? Listen to those soothing sounds of silence whispering to us, the audible hush of “deep calling to deep,” that beckoning voice of the One who longs to bring to us the peace that passes all understanding.

In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength (Isaiah 30:15).

I found this site by looking through the groups section. I knew that as soon as I saw the title 'sitting at His feet' I knew I needed to check it out. God has been dealing with me so much the last several months about just getting to know Him better by spending more time simply enjoying His presence.

Listening to these songs really gets me in the right frame of mind for the day and now I will go to my room and spend a litle time with Him before I get on with my day.

God bless you for starting this group .
