Test the Spirits

1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

I've had so many people ask me how they would know if a spirit of God was talking to them, how would they know it's from God and not satan. Well, you just took care of my answer to that Thank you so much Shazza, you truly are a blessing to me.

To me, we as human beings because we are born of Adam, are vulnerable and weak.
Sometimes our vulnerabilities are jumped on and taken advantage of by the enemy.
I have seen this in my own family and they did not even know at all that it was spirit taking advantage of their weakness..and others thought it was just part of their nature.
It was on my mother and my auntie (her sister) all the life I have known them.
I did not recognize it until my mother gave her life to God and was totally transformed..then I saw my auntie and I realized that it was still tormenting her.
I have seen the spirit in my own son whom tried to destroy me when I was a child.
A spirit that enters a person through rape or sexual abuse..that seeks to destroy that person.
What many see as charactoristics of psycology are charactoristics of the FACE of the very demon that comes apon that person.
I know it and I recognized it and at my request my Father cast that demon out before my very eyes.
My son was free!
You all are probably going to think I am cracked, but I am telling you that we are so scientifically minded we ignore these things and try and get rid of them by pills and potions and psycoanalysis.
When sometimes they pure and simply can be demons that have jumped on board our weaknesses.
When are we going to wake up?

I don't believe that this scripture was purely talking airy fairy spirits not entered into someones body, so much as recognizing that the information coming out of the person may not be from the spirit of God, but the spirit of the enemy through the person. And to be aware of this.

Else why did Jesus say to Peter, get away from me satan? Peter is not Satan..nor does it say that Peter was possessed by Satan..but I believe that Satan took advantage of Pauls weakness and utilized his thinking to cause Peter to say what he wanted him to say. I doubt Peter would have realized that the thought he was carrying out in speech was of Satan's manuiplation of him.

Why else also does Paul say, continually be filled with the Holy spirit..
