I was given a wonderful opportunity to work at a pro-life organization called Aid for Women in Chicago, it amazed me how unaware most woman including myself were about the true facts on abortion. The reality is no woman wants to have an abortion; but this society we live in makes it the easy way out for these pregnant girls, they are scared, alone and confused. The outcome is devastating for the woman who decide to abort, most women end up even worse then when they found out they were pregnant. At Aid for Women we never judged or told them what to do, but simply educated them on the risks and side effects of abortion. We went into the physical complications that can occur, the mental effects that can take place, along with the most important emotional. Most are amazed with the loving approach we take, and if the mom to be were to change her mind and want to choose life for her baby, we offered programs for them to sign up that will help them along the way. I felt God put me in that place to save many life's and I feel I did.

Thank you for your comments. Your particular situation really touched me. You have an amazing and powerful testimony. I pray that you will one day find your birth mother. My son was also adopted by his mother and me at birth. His birth mother initially sought out an abortion. But God intervened and allowed us to adopt him. He recently got married to a beautiful Christian girl.

We had a discussion in class one day on abortion. This one girl just did not get it. She obviously thought that abortion was okay, depending on the situation. She said that this was the critera for someone to have an abortion:
On welfare
Homeless
No means to support the child and,
Not wanting the child
I almost cried. She was discribing my birth mom and her circumstances. I almost yelled, "So I shouldn't have been born!"
My mom was on welfare, living at her fiance's parent's house. I was put up for adoption the day after I was born, and six years later was adopted with my younger brother into an amazing christian home. At least she put me up for adoption, I wouldn't know God if she hadn't. She had no religion. All I want to do now is find her.

Feel free to add anything you like as long as it deals with the sanctity of human life. This is NOT the place to debate abortion or get into arguments. Abortion is the killing of unborn children. Period.
