Begin Your Walk with Jesus!

Your relationship with God is like a going on a long journey with Him. Many start off well but don't realize they need to keep going in order to reach their destination. If you do the following, your relationship with God will deepen and you will experience the joy of knowing him better and growing into maturity.

* Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible. You may also want to join the The Master's Miracle Grow group and follow the instructions there.

* Be baptized as Jesus commanded and obey what He tells you in His Word (Matthew 28:18-20).

* Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.

* Seek friendships with other Christians. It's critical for a growing believer to network with others who have been walking with Jesus for a long time.

This is called Christian fellowship. Develop a group of Christian friends to answer your questions and support you. That's the whole purpose of AllAboutGOD.net!

If you do these four things you'll keep growing and finish the race well!

Comment by deedee310 on February 11, 2009 at 10:01pm: I need help right now so badly. I lost my brother on Sept 1 2008, he drowned while has camping with his friends. On top of that, my daughter's father has broken my heart and crushed my spirit. Both of these issues are tearing me apart mentally and emotionally. I have been praying to the Lord begging him to help me through this. I know that there is nothing I can do about my brother Charles, I believe that he is with the Lord. But I been asking God to send me a husband, someone to share my life with. I"m so lonely now that I feel like I'm losing it. I cry everyday and I'm tired of being miserable. I have never in my life felt this much pain...... I have tried everything, and nothing has worked for me thus far. I need help...

I am also losing my job this week due to an act I committed at work with a married man - I am single. I pray that the lord will lift me up and be with me duirng this difficult time. I also pray for my co-worker as the act we committed will affect his marriage and his young children. I pray for forgiveness from GOD and from my co-worker. I am in a very dark place right now and am praying each day to GOD. I also ask that others here will pray for me and help me get through this. I know that GOD loves me and I am turning my pain over to him and trusting him to walk with me through this. Lisa

Fasting is when you don't eat for so many days. It can be for 1, 2, 4 ever how many day you want to or feel led to by God. Fasting is making the flesch part of you die and the spirit to grow. The more your spirit grows the closer to God you become. Look this up in the bible. Don't take my word for it. If you have Daystar Network on your tv (that's a gospel station). Watch Dr. Frederick K.C.Price. You can call the station at 1-800-329-0029 ask them when he comes on in your area. I hope you can get Daystar my tv stays on Daystar. I want to deepen my relationship with God and I really dont want to lose my new faith ever. I'm going to keep praying and reading my bible to gain a deeper understanding. I dont want to be lost for all eternity and with God by myside now, I need not be afraid. Thank You Jesus!!
