Begin Your Walk with Jesus!

Your relationship with God is like a going on a long journey with Him. Many start off well but don't realize they need to keep going in order to reach their destination. If you do the following, your relationship with God will deepen and you will experience the joy of knowing him better and growing into maturity.

* Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible. You may also want to join the The Master's Miracle Grow group and follow the instructions there.

* Be baptized as Jesus commanded and obey what He tells you in His Word (Matthew 28:18-20).

* Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.

* Seek friendships with other Christians. It's critical for a growing believer to network with others who have been walking with Jesus for a long time.

This is called Christian fellowship. Develop a group of Christian friends to answer your questions and support you. That's the whole purpose of AllAboutGOD.net!

If you do these four things you'll keep growing and finish the race well!

Here are some helpful links to study. Take some time to read a little every day:

www.AllAboutGOD.com has more than 17,000 pages of resources on a variety of topics - a virtual Christian encyclopedia. Make sure you particularly check out the links at www.AllAboutFollowingJesus.org!

We also recommend learning more about Jesus in the text and audio versions of the Bible. Check out the Book of John . Also, we have teaching, music, and online Bibles in our MP3 Player: http://www.allaboutgod.com/mp3-bible.htm.

A great tool for studying the Bible is the "Daily Jesus" study course at http://www.jesuscentral.com/learning/Courses/ Use this to grow in your knowledge of God's Word and love for Jesus every day.

Remember too, the forums are here too to help answer your questions and you can always send a message to us.

I've always had faith, I've always believed, but just recently my outlook is a little different. I'm more interested in the word. I have a thirst to learn more. (thats what made me join this site, to be closer to others who feel similar) I think twice about certain things, I find myself more concerned about what God thinks. I also find that i'm a little more at peace with myself. I'm not nearly close to where I want to be with him. I know that I have alot of work to do. There are alot of aspects of my life that still need alot of work, but I feel i'm headed in the right direction. Sometims I do get a little lost along the way, but I figure it's all part of the journey. Thanks for listening:) God bless!

Hi CJ,
God's always with you anyway, even when you're unfaithful. We sometimes mess up, but God's always faithful and just to forgive us. Maybe God's silent for a while, but you never were alone. When you stumble, pick yourself up. If you want to walk, then arise and walk. (1 John 1:6-2:2) Think of God as a parent. Say something like "Father (Abba) I'm sorry, In Jesus' name." Then trust Him. Move on and walk. Jesus Christ walked perfectly. We do not. Jesus Christ has everything that we need. He fills all in all. He's all things to all believers.

God bless!

John Richard I shall pray for you and your mother. My husband also have heart failure and I pray for him day and night. I am stressed about it and asking for prayer from everyone I know and everyone on this community net. He went into the hospital in the end of December 2008 and I spent day and night with him while he remained the the hospital for a week. Now he appears to feel better. His lungs are clear and when we walk our dogs he seem to have more enegry than I, there are moments when he have to stop and wait for me to catch up! I feel that this was punishment for the sinful things I have done in the past. I pray for forgivness every night as I confessed my past sins. I know jesus blood covers us , and he died for our sins. I also pray that God helps me streghtens my faith, that our lives are in his hands. God bless you all

Hi John,

You are not cursed. You are a very loving Christian person. I can sense that through the words you share. I always feel enriched when I read your comments. You have a lot of heart, and I can tell that you have Christ within you.

God bless!
