Hi folks:

HealingPRAYERs is intended for a group of commited souls to jointly pray for a fixed number of individuals that need our prayers for healing. A new list will be developed each week, beginning on Mondays. Your own names can be added to as many weekly lists as you like, on the condition that the prayer-request lists do not exceed 10 people. The only reason I decided to limit the list is to make it easier for the folks praying to remember the names and the needs of each individual during their prayer sessions. This way, our prayers will be more personal and meaningful. Please also limit the requests for prayer to people needing healing; after all, that is the purpose of this very special group. Thank you for your cooperation. Oh, and there will be chances to join in some fasts for healing, too. I will post in advance when the fasts will take place.

There will be a thread in the discussion forum labeled "prayer requests." Please list one person, someone you know or yourself, who needs healing. Let others also post a request, up to and not exceeding ten requests with a short description of the health need. Finally, I eagerly ask that each group member participate in praying throughout the week for the health needs of those presented on the list. This won't work out if we all want prayer but none are willing to pray for the needs of others. Try to think of this as a service challenge...how service-driven are we in our walk with Jesus? Ok, let's get started! and Welcome! :-)

The God of More than Enough

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"…the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am Almighty God…"
(Genesis 17:1, NKJ)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Do you need more peace, joy, or any provision in your life? Friend, we serve a God who is more than enough and He has more than enough!

The original Hebrew word in this verse is El Shaddai which means "the All-Sufficient One" or the God of plenty. In other words, our God is simply more than enough! He's not worried about how He's going to meet your needs. He's not wondering how He's going to provide for you; He's already overflowing with everything you need in this life, and He longs to bless you. Do you know why? He wants to bless you abundantly so that you can turn around and be a blessing to other people. He wants you to be His reflection in the earth. But you have to first receive what He wants to do in your life. You can't go around with a negative, self-defeating attitude and expect to see the blessings of God pour in. No, the Bible tells us that it is our faith that pleases God.

Today, keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Remember, you serve the Almighty God. He promises to supply all your needs because He is El Shaddai, the God of more than enough!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, I believe that You desire to supply all my needs. You are the God of more than enough. Today, I receive Your Word and choose to have an attitude of faith and expectancy. Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness to me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Overflowing With Passion for Life

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord"
(Romans 12:11, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Zeal is simply another word for passion. I've noticed that too many people today have lost their passion and enthusiasm for life. At one time, they were excited about their dreams and got up every day with purpose and passion. But now, because time has passed and they've experienced disappointments, they're not excited about those dreams anymore. They've lost their fire.

Friend, God wants you to live with passion! You weren't meant to live a stagnant, ordinary life. You serve an extraordinary God, and you are called to be a reflection of Him.

The truth is, most of life can be very routine. We have to work to keep things fresh. We have to put forth effort to stay passionate about our jobs, relationships, and our walk with the Lord. I believe every day we need to stir ourselves up. Just like the apostle Paul told Timothy, today I'm telling you to "fan your flame!" In other words, don't let the fire go out. Stay passionate about your life so you can move forward and embrace the dreams God has placed within you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, thank You for Your Word which is truth that sets me free. Help me to stir up the passion in my heart so that I can stay on fire for You. Thank You for guiding and directing my steps so that I can embrace every dream and promise You have for me. In Jesus' Name Amen."

Walk by Faith

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"For we walk by faith, not by sight"
(II Corinthians 5:7, NKJV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you walking by faith or sight today? In other words, are you choosing to believe God no matter what your circumstances look like, or are you making decisions and focusing your mind on what you can see.

As believers, we have to remember that we aren't just subject to this natural realm–what we can see, hear, touch, and smell. No, we have access to the unseen, supernatural realm where all the promises and blessings of God are stored. When you choose to walk by faith, you are opening a door from the natural realm to the supernatural realm and drawing the blessings of God into your life.

Remember: with God seeing isn't believing; believing is seeing! Throughout the day, begin to declare, "Father, I want to thank You that my payday is coming. You said no good thing will You withhold because I walk uprightly. I believe even right now You're arranging things in my favor." As you walk and live by faith, you will live a life pleasing to God. You'll see His blessing and favor in abundance, and you'll fulfill the destiny He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Heavenly Father, today I choose to walk by faith. I choose to believe Your Word no matter what things look like in the natural. I know You are working behind the scenes, and You will open up doors of blessing and favor in every area of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

You've Come Too Far

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward"
(Philippians 3:14, AMP)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

One thing I've learned is that whenever life seems extra difficult, whenever it seems like the intensity has been turned up, that's a sure sign that you are close to your victory. Whenever negative thoughts are bombarding your mind, or you're tempted to get discouraged, that's not the time to give up! That's not the time to back down. That's the time to dig your heels in. That's the time to press on with a new attitude because you are closer than you think to your victory.

Maybe you've had a lot come against you lately. It seems like the more you pray, the worse things get. Maybe you are doing the right thing, but the wrong thing keeps happening. Instead of getting discouraged, begin to declare, "I've come too far to stop now! I've been through too much to back down. I realize the reason the intensity has been turned up is because I'm about to give birth to my dreams."

Friend, don't allow the enemy to steal from you any longer! Instead, press on toward the goal because you've come too far to give up now. Remember, God Almighty is with you, and He is leading and guiding you down the path of victory in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Heavenly Father, thank You for leading with Your gentle and loving hand. Today I choose to press past my circumstances and press on into You. Give me strength and hope to move forward into the life of victory You have prepared for me! In Jesus' Name. Amen."

You Are Closer Than You Think

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit"
(Galatians 6:9, the Message)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

God has put dreams and desires in every person's heart. We all have goals we want to accomplish and situations we are believing will be turned around. Sometimes it seems to take longer than we thought. Sometimes things don't work out the way we planned, and it's easy to lose enthusiasm. Negative thoughts come to us that say, "It's never going to change." "You're never going to get well." "You're never going to get out of debt." If we're not careful, we'll get discouraged and end up just settling where we are. Many times, people miss out on God's best simply because they give up too soon. They don't realize how close they are to their victory.

Friend, don't let that be you today! Don't give up just because things seem hard. You are closer than you think! You've invested so much and you never know, just another few more days of believing, another few weeks of doing the right thing, another few months of staying in faith, and you could see that situation turn around. Remember, God is on your side! Keep standing and keep believing because you are closer than you think to fulfilling every desire He's placed inside of you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, today I come to You again, believing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Give me Your strength to keep moving forward into the place of victory You have for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
