Feel free to post you mission statements - what's your mission as a teacher? I think that we can learn alot from each other!!
My mission as a teacher is to improve the lives of those around me, to be an example of high integrity and class, to be a great communicator, to uplift and to inspire them. To make the teaching experience interesting for the learners and for my self.
It is my responsibility to positively promote education, to spark the enthusiasm to learn within each learner and to provide the foundation for insight, knowledge, compassion and wisdom within individuals as they become lifelong learners. Developing these skills is essential for the growth, prosperity and conscientious decision making necessary for our society.
To inspire the learners to reach new heights, to think “outside the box”, to challenge the learners to go beyond his/her own preconceived limitations. Learners will be allowed to experience success without the fear of failure. A child’s successes and failures will be celebrated, because you are learning though your mistakes. Along with an education, a child needs strong morals and values which will be fostered throughout the learning process.
Always to hold the learner in the best light, to go beyond my own pre-conceived notions of the learners talents and abilities, to expect more from the learner than he expects from himself, to be a great listener, a great coach and a great inspirer.
Always to expect more from my self as a teacher, with constant and ongoing training and development.
