At present I'm a college Professor, but you know I always wanted to put up my own little school for children who cannot got to school because of poverty. Im planning of purchasing big lands to put up buildings and place where I can teach them and lead them eventually to our Lord Jesus Christ. Now that our country is suffering this global financial crisis, tripled the number now of those kids who cannot go to school because of proverty. And it will take a lot of faith and prayers to have all this plans to be materialize. But then I always believe God in his inifinite wisdom and power, all things are possible....to those who believe.... I just have to hold on and keep on trusting Him. For now, aside from my job, I'm holding a small class in my house to start what the Lord is calling me to do....

Good Day My name is Allerease Olanrewaju. Iam 33yrs and have been involve with young disavange children from the age of 18. I am very passionate about children and firmly believe that the are gifts from God. god has given me the gift to reach out to abuse negelect children I have work with childen directly on the streets and in NGO;s. I have been in involve in projects that are donig prevention programs in the poorer communities. I olve sharing the gospel of Christ with them.From a very young age I knew that i was destine to work with children. I am a christian counsellor and a community developer.

INSPIRATION FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US...
A Small Candle and The Man

I am intrigued by the story of a small candle carried by a man who was climbing the stairs of a lighthouse. It starts off sounding a little insignificant and then only do you realize just how inspiring it is...

On their way up to the top, the candle asked the man, "Where are we going?"

"We're going to the top of this lighthouse to give signals to the big ships on the ocean," the man answered.

"What? How could it be possible for me, with my small light, to give signals to those big ships?"

"They will never be able to see my light", replied the candle weakly.

"Your part is to keep your small light burning, and leave the rest to me", said the man.

A little later, they arrived at the top of the lighthouse where there was a big lamp with a loop behind it. Then the man lit the lamp with the light of the candle and instantly, the place shone so brightly that the ships on the ocean could see its light.

With our being and our limitations, we're hardly able to do any meaningful things. Yet, one thing you should bear in mind is that your life is like a small candle in God's powerful hand. All your abilities and expertise will remain as a small light if you don't put your life in God's hand. On the contrary, even if your light is so small or dim, if you entrust all your life to God, he is able to make your small light into a big one that brings blessings to many people.

It was even impossible for Joshua, who was Moses' servant, not to feel fear when God ordered him to lead the Israelis invading Canaan. However, God comforted and strengthened Joshua and promised that He would never leave him. God even promised him victory over victory. All God asked from him was, "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the laws my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right nor to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." (Joshua 1:7)

Do not look at your inabilities, limitations, and weaknesses. God entrusts you with something, whether it is a work or a ministry. Have faith that you are in His mighty hand and that He will use you according to His will. When we put all our trust in Him, He will decide how He wishes to use our lives, including our limitations, to be blessings to others. And He will also, if you believe, endow you with more capabilities than you ever thought possible!

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE A COMMENT WITH YOU BECAUSE I TOLD LEA THAT I WOULD BE DOING SO...

SOMETIMES WHEN WE ARE YOUNG WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAREER WE SHOULD CHOOSE... IF WE ARE COMMITTED CHRISTIANS I KNOW FOR SURE THAT GOD STEERS YOU INTO A DIRECTION... SOME PASTORS I KNOW NEVER THOUGHT AS YOUNG PEOPLE THAT THEY WOULD BECOME PASTORS... AND BECAUSE THEY ARE COMMITTED GOD USES THEM IN A VERY STRANGE BUT MIGHTY WAY. I KNOW OF MANY PEOPLE WHO, THOUGH ALSO, DEVOUT, PRAYED FOR SOME KIND OF JOB BUT THIS DID NOT MATERIALISE BECAUSE GOD HAD OTHER PLANS FOR THEM.

PRESENT DAY CIRCUMSTANCES ARE DRIVING MORE AND MORE YOUNG PEOPLE AWAY FROM BECOMING TEACHERS (EDUCATORS). THE MAIN REASON BEING THAT THE CHILDREN HAVE BECOME UNRULY AND WILD... DISOBEDIENT AND "INTOLERABLE". I HAVE EVEN LISTENED WITH SOME SADNESS TO PARENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY CANNOT CONTROL THEIR CHILDREN ANY LONGER - THERE IS NO DISCIPLINE AT SCHOOL. HOWEVER, I THINK IT IS THE DUTY OF EACH CHRIST FOLLOWING PARENT TO DISCIPLINE THEIR CHILDREN WITH LOVE AND DEVOTION. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE CHILD'S UPBRINGING IS IGNORED: TEACH THEM ABOUT THE LOVE OF JESUS AND PRAY FOR THEM AND PRAY TOGETHER WITH THEM!

I WILL, HOWEVER, BE VERY TRUTHFUL AND TELL ALL EDUCATORS THAT THEY ALSO NEED TO PRAY TOGETHER WITH THE PARENTS. AND PARENTS: PLEASE PRAY FOR THE EDUCATORS TOO. THIS DOES NOT ONLY APPLY TO PARENTS OF CHILDREN BUT TO GRANDPARENTS AND FAMILIES OF CHILDREN.

PRAYER IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR IN THE LIFE OF EACH CHRIST FOLLOWING PERSON BUT THAT IS ALSO BEING NEGLECTED! PRAYER SHOULD PLAY THE MOST IMPORTANT ROLE IN EACH ONE'S LIFE.

THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME EDUCATORS (TEACHERS) NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE SPECIAL. YOU HAVE TO BE A ROLE MODEL FOR THE CHILDREN. MANY CHILDREN ARE BEING NEGLECTED BY PARENTS DUE TO THE FACT THAT MOST MOTHERS ARE FORCED BY CIRCUMSTANCES (NOT BY CHOICE) TO WORK IN ORDER TO SUPPLEMENT THE HUSBAND'S SALARY.


WE REALISE THAT EDUCATORS CANNOT BE FINANCIALLY COMPENSATED FOR THEIR WONDERFUL CONTRIBUTION. OUR CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE CITIZENS AND IT IS THE EDUCATOR'S JOB TO MAKE DECENT HUMAN BEINGS OF THEM.
THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE COMMITTED TO BECOME EDUCATORS (TEACHERS) KNOW THAT YOU ARE BLESSED. YOU ARE SPECIAL. YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY GOD TO LEAD THE YOUTH TO HIM AND TO MAKE RESPONSIBLE MEN AND WOMEN OF THEM. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP - BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT GIVE UP ON US...

THE STORY I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU IS ABOUT NEIL VERWEY ( A MISSIONARY WHO HAS BEEN WORKING IN JAPAN SINCE 1951). HE DID NOT THINK THAT HE WOULD BECOME A MISSIONARY. HE ACTUALLY STARTED STUDYING TO BECOME A PASTOR (A MINISTER). HE WAS A VERY ORDINARY MAN LIVING IN THE KAROO (A VERY DESERT-LIKE PART OF SOUTH AFRICA) AND HE HAD A GIRLFRIEND WHOM HE THOUGHT WAS THE WOMAN OF HIS DREAMS. HE JUST COULD NOT IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT HER. (NOW I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I PERSONALLY MET NEIL AND PEGGY VERWEY WHEN I WAS AN EDITOR AND TRANSLATOR WORKING AT CHRISTIAN PUBLISHING COMPANY (CUM) IN SOUTH AFRICA. SO, THIS STORY IS NOT "THUMB-SUCKING. IT IS INDEED A VERY TRUE AND REAL STORY).

WHEN NEIL VERWEY REALISED THAT GOD HAD "COMMISSIONED" HIM TO BECOME A MISSIONARY IN JAPAN HE WAS SURPRISED. BUT GOD REVEALED THIS TO HIM IN MANY WAYS AND HE WAS A DEVOUT AND OBEDIENT SERVANT OF GOD. HE PRAYED FERVENTLY ABOUT THIS AND EVENTUALLY HE TOLD HIS SWEETHEART WHAT HE HAD TO DO. SHE WAS IN A STATE OF SHOCK! JAPAN! NO WAYS!!! HE PLEADED WITH HER AND ASKED HER TO THINK AND PRAY ABOUT IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE FINALLY SAYING "NO".

THE END RESULT WAS THAT SHE REFUSED TO LEAVE HER FAMILY AND SOUTH AFRICA TO GO WITH NEIL. NEIL WAS DEVASTATED AND HE CRIED HIMSELF TO SLEEP FOR MANY A NIGHT. HOWEVER, HE HAD TO LISTEN TO GOD AND HE WENT TO JAPAN (END OF 1951).

ON JANUARY 1, 1952, PEGGE DAVEY ARRIVED FROM ENGLAND. SHE HAD JUST RECENTLY GRADUATED FROM A BIBLE COLLEGE IN ENGLAND AND WAS COMMISSIONED TO JAPAN AS A MISSIONARY. NEIL REALISED THAT THIS WAS ACTUALLY "THE GIRL OF HIS DREAMS" THAT GOD HAD DESTINED FOR HIM! THEY GOD MARRIED ON THE 9TH SEPTEMBER 1954. I KNOW THAT ONE OF THEIR SONS (ALSO NEIL) MARRIED A JAPANESE GIRL AND THEY ARE ALSO GREAT SERVANTS OF GOD (MISSIONARIES)...

SO, IN HUMILITY, I SAY TO EACH OF YOU WHO HAVE BECOME EDUCATORS OR ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING EDUCATORS, BE ASSURED THAT THIS IS AN ASSIGNMENT FROM GOD. KNOW THAT HE HAS CHOSEN YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE SPECIAL. THE LORD CHOOSES SPECIAL PEOPLE TO DO SPECIAL WORK. IT IS THEREFORE, YOUR TASK AND MAKE IT YOUR PASSION, TO TEACH THE CHILDREN AND LEAD THEM TO GOD. I KNOW THAT CHRISTIANITY IS ABOLISHED IN SCHOOLS BUT YOU WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOW THEM THE LOVE OF JESUS. AND YOU WILL BE PRAYING FOR EACH ONE OF THEM. AND YOU WILL SOW SEEDS WHICH WILL FLOURISH. JUST ASK JESUS TO "WATER THEM AND FERTILIZE THEM" FOR YOU.

GO IN FAITH AND WEAR THE ARMOUR OF GOD AT ALL TIMES... YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MANY YOUNG PEOPLE'S LIVES.

BE HUMBLE, GENTLE AND KIND... AND ALWAYS REMEMBER (EVEN HOW DESPONDENT OR ANGRY YOU MAY BECOME:) THINK:
