A popular bumper sticker said, "Prayer changes things" But does it really? Though the Bible reminds us to "pray continually"(1 Thess. 5:17), faithfully (Rom. 12:12) and "on all occassions" what exactly should we be praying for?

The God who Sees –

And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have also here looked after him that seeth me? Genesis 16:13

God sees you as much as if there were nobody else in the world for God to look at.

The infinite mind of God is able to grasp a million objects as once, and yet to focus as much as one as if there were nothing else but that one ... as much, as entirely, as absolutely without division of sight as if you were the only being Gods hands has ever made.

Can you grasp that?

God sees you with the whole of God’s sight – YOU! You are the particular object of the Lords attention at this very moment.
AS YOU PRAY TODAY. Contemplate the thought that God sees you entirely, constantly and completely.
 Know that because the Lord sees you, God also knows your every need even before you speak it.
 Pray to see as God sees, to focus in the things that are important to the Lord.

Our prayers are needed now more than ever. The power of prayer is so strong, just look at His creation. I pray for this world, for all those who do not know God for they are too busy with their lives. Like Mari & Martha in Lucas 10: Mari was busy serving food to Jesus, whilst Martha was listening to HIm. We should pray the world will do the same, so they will see God at work and will hear His voice speaking to them in the same way as He spoke to us.

I pray today for all the little children that are in abusive situations. God send your angels to protect them from all harm and evil. They belong to you. Keep them from the evil that is in the world. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen

Hi Sean, yes, I think prayer does change things. I have personally experienced miraculous outcomes from solid continuous prayer, but perhaps more than that, is the fact that when we're in continuous communication with our mighty God we becme inextricably bonded to Him and a two-way relationship comes about which then becomes the centre of our world. It's a foretaste of heaven. I don't think prayer is just to ask for what we want/need. I see it as a getting to know God. The contemplatives are masters at it. It's the biggest high on earth. blessings on you, Damask

Ps. 138:8 KJV God will perfect, (bring to an end) that which concerns you. What concerns you today? God wants to bring it to an end so you can freely be about the Father's business.

In a thankful spirt to God praying for each other and asking Him we know His Will for our lives and recieve all wisdom and all spirtiual understanding that is in His Will for our lives.
In other words God loves when we don't pray for ourselves knowing we have our friends praying for us as we pray for them for the same ultimate blessings and gifts of God Almighty.
Please pray for me as I pray for you as stated above. Amen.
