Should do we decide who gets to come to the church.

Qoute from Pastor George.
"This is the saddest thing happenning to many churches today. They don't seem interested to this kind of people and as if they are not just like them before..... sinners! I have seen and experienced a lot of this to different churches, big and small. Many church leaders believe they are just liabilities and additional burden in their congregations, forgetting the great commission of Jesus. Jesus himself showed during his earthly ministry how to treat people of all walks of life. He never became bias nor maltreated any person who comes to the Lord for repentance and salvation, rich, poor, sick, blind, unwise, smelly, old and young, etc... For Jesus came to save the Lost, and the same thing also to his church today, to reach and accept anyone for God! God bless you! In Christ service, Pastor George Manalang"

OK. I look like my avatar, just older and uglier. I will come to church dressed just as you see in my avatar. Will you also kick me out? Churches should post their dress codes on the door or billboards. Sorry but at 80 degrees f and above I sweat to much to wear a fake suit and shoes.

I am currently searching for a church for this very reason. The one my family and I attend is not accepting of those with differences, and it just breaks my heart. God does work in our everyday life tho. Shortly after I made this decision, I had a knock at my back door, it turned out to be from a youth pastor of a local church(he andthe pastor were painting my neighbor's house). He heard me listening to Casting Crowns, and starting talking with me, inviting me to come check out their church. I am very excited to go, there are a few I want to check out. I have to wait until an obligation at current church is met (so hopefully next month I can start *traveling*). I am greatly looking forward to that place where I can be who I am and be accepted, and others around me can be themselves and be accepted! The way God intended it to be. I just don't understand how a church can be any different. Jesus didn't hang out with the ones who sinned least. He went right to the ones who were most sinful and lost. How did churches over look this, and become places that only the wealthy, or the ones who dress in their *sunday* best, or have the *proper* life are welcomed. God's not impressed by that. I don't believe He cares if I worship in my pj's. He knows I am full of sin, and loves me anyway. I don't have to put on *church airs* and pretend to be better than I am. God accepts me for who and what I am (afterall, He made me) and since we are called to love one another, I don't understnad how this attitude became acceptable. Sorry for the long vent, this is a sore spot for me. I've seen people lose their faith bc they were not accepted *as is*

I love the idea that everyone should come as they are. I remember being hurt deeply when I wanted to go to a church but was rejected because I was a Chinese. Then my legs led me to a bookstore and hands found a book to read. My eyes were captivated by the virse 28 Cha 3 in Galatians: There is no Jew or Greek, servant or free, male or female: because you are all one in Jesus Christ.

Thanks my friend for the invite!
Praise God He accept us as we are, only to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and we are His children. For if He should look at us through man's eyes we would never be acceptable, but He is God and we are His!!!!!!!

Hi Jack! This sounds like a great group. I wish more churches would take the same attitude. How many times have I declined going to church because my child with ADHD would not stay still and I would get stares from people and I just knew they were probably thinking "this woman should discipline her child". I was even kicked out of church for my child crying before though everyone was singing! We'll here I am, no crying child but a mother crying out to God for help when she needs it the most! Bless you and with a positive attitude as you have, I'm sure you will reach many people.
