The Galatian believer received the Holy Spirit because of thier belief in Jesus Christ. We grow in Christ by the power of the spirit, not by following rules or rituals. Which is different from what I was taught and most others as well, depending on what Relegion you where raised in. We must allow God to work in us through the spirit and not by rituals. The world continues to make Relegion the center of how we grow spiritually; which only gets in the way of allowing the gospel to teach us. We should be Christ centered through the Holy Spirit; and I believe that would allow our spirituallity in Jesus to grow in abundance. If the churches would focus on strengthing our spirituallity through the cross and Jesus Christ's teachings, I think many more would feel more free. Learning this opens up the possibilities to help other Christians who are confused by Relegion, laws and rituals to follow Christ closer and to develop a closer relationship with our Lord. We obtain the Holy Spirit when we commit ourselves to the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is our Saviour who died on the cross specifically for us to erase our sins and show us a way back to him. We become acceptable in God's eyes when we are willing to live by faith and not by rules and rituals. Abraham recieved God's blessings by his faith and not by his work, actions or rituals. He was blessed before he performed acts that where requested by God; for God had already chosen him to be blessed. Therefore believers who walk by faith have been blessed with the same blessings given to Abraham. Those who think that they can earn blessings from God through their acts and services are only fooling themselves and are really cursed; because the only way is through our faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:6-7 Consider Abraham, he believed God, and it was credited to him as righteous. 7 Understad, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham.
Galatians 2:16 We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and not by following the law.
Galatians 3:11 No one is justified before God by the law, becasue "the righteous will live by faith".
Romans 7:4 you died to the law through the body of Jesus Christ 7:6 We have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit.
We have been crucified with Christ and no longer live; but Christ lives in us. We live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave himself to save us.
This makes me feel that my Lord Jesus Christ loves me unconditionally and wants me to share in Abrahams blessings, heritage and promise. And to be a child of Christ. This makes me feel incredibly blessed, and to live in Him!
