I am curious to find out if anyone on this site has read the book,"The Five Love Languages" by Gary Smalley? In it he talks about what kinds of things make us feel loved. My primary love language is words of affirmation, which also means I like cards and notes and things like that. It means a lot when someone gives me a compliment and I tend to show love the same way. Usually the people that love cards and the people that also send them, he says. We tend to give other people what we want back and when we don't get it back the same way, we wonder why they don't love us, but they may just be showing it in their own language. Interesting stuff. My birthday is March 12th. I used to have the ministry of sending out cards at our church and had to give it up when I started to work because of busyness and regretted it but have just recently been able to start helping the new leader of it and I am so blessed. It is a real love ministry for sure. I love to pray over the cards and see if the Lord has a word for the person, that is the most fun part, though time consuming if there are many to do. I hope all on this site are blessed and have happy birthdays, early or belated. You are all so special to the Lord and so beautiful to him. Blessings.

This is the neatest idea. So how does it work...is there a reference calendar or such so I can send out a bunch of cards? if it's just the posts I'll get confused, but I can handle if it's all in a list. Is there a preference for e-cards or real mail cards? I know for myself I would love real cards, those I can save and pull out when I need a pick me up.
