Numbers Chapter 11 & 12

Hello Everyone.

Let's start by reading Numbers chapter 11.

At the beginning of the book James MacDonald is giving an invitation to reading this book. This book is intended to bring about positive radical change in our attitudes. It is not intended to simply provide new 'insights'. The purpose of this book is to choose to let God change our attitudes from the inside out. We learn in the old testament of the people of Israel who complain and ignite God's anger because of their complaining, negative attitudes. As we read through this book, we will replace those negative attitudes with positive attitudes from the new testament. By taking the truth of God's Word seriously in each chapter, we can confidently anticipate that He will give us the strength to make the changes that are needed.

Carla, I hope and pray to our Lord God on High that He deletes my horrible negativity and helps me see the bright side to all matters.
I'm so sick of listening to myself moan and feeling that the Lord wouldn't want anybody as negative and finickity as me.
I always find something to moan about. Help me!

I praise God that you are here and seeking His Truth. It is the Father who draws us in....But we must continue to choose Him moment by moment in everything. We are all so human! Remember, it is important to surround ourselves with strong 'people of Faith' who will edify and speak truth into our lives....Ask God to bring those people to you...perhaps in your church (as well as here of coarse :)...), that will help. Glad to have you hear!

Since joining Shelfari I have met some wonderful people like missdaisyanne who have led me back to the bible and I have been re-reading it, finding in Romans not to be negative and find fault or quarrelsome, or cause agitation as it rebounds on me. So these chapters in Numbers are also teaching me about complaining, so do you think they are telling me something?
Yes they were telling me that my life had become so negative that I was also sending out these (vibes) through my speach, actions etc, which was adding to my unhappiness, because this is not my nature.
I learnt along time ago that it was better to be so soft that bad and hurtful things slid off you but here I was holding onto them and hurting, hurting others in return.
I do not want God to find me complaining and so now I know what I have to do. thank you for the timely reminders.

Thanks for directing me to this book. I am truly enjoying it. I see myself in these words about "murmuring". I am drawn more and more everyday to God's word. I am asking God to increase my faith. I want that for the whole world! I thank the Lord for pulling the good out of me and letting it shine. I am surviving some times now that I could not survive without God's Love and help.
I ask God to let his Love shine through all of us so that we can touch and move every person towards Jesus.
Kerry stay close to God's word it is the guide for transformation. Keep Jesus within your thoughts. Let the Holy Spirit shine in your Heart to light the way. May the Light of God's Love transform your world.
