Hello everyone! Just joined the group and hope to learn more about worship. I belonged to a very conservative church, and am currently looking for a new church home. My old church put down every type of music and worship that wasn't what they considered "traditional". I have come to feel that since God didn't make us all the same - insofar as how we look, think, talk, etc... why would he expect us to all worship him the same way? The Bible talks about different kinds of music, and even King David dancing in worship before the Lord. So, please let me know what you think about this!

Sounds great Amy please add any great stories about your favorites music and videos in the discussions we would love to hear them. I'm sure when Ron returns he will add more great songs. They have a discussion where you can request your favorites for Ron and he will add them here. I just put a discussion about Ralph Stanley this week. You know some schools provide Andy Griffith episodes for the kids to watch and promote the values of homelife and more simple times. The Issacs are my favorite bluegrass group and Jason Crabb not only has a awesome voice he is annointed to preach and such an humble family man. Have you ever heard Travis Cottrell? He is great and his voice is so awesome. I just love them all but I think Southern Gospel is my favorite!

Thanks Vickie, it is awesome and I have heard great things about Casting Crowns. I love all types and really enjoy some of the old bluegrass gospel songs as well. Love the Crabb Family and some old Ralph Stanley standbys too. I have a version of Somebody Touched Me by Andy Griffith and the Darlin family. It's great!

Casting Crowns sings Praise you in this storm they are my favorite Amy. It wasnt always my favorite I loved Country and Blues music too but I really enjoy Southern Gospel like Jason Crabb or The Perrys. Ron plays different kids of music here in the group just send a request he will add it when he can. God bless!
