music is not just music
Ron, you suggested that music is just music.
Well, have to disagree with you there.
As Christ followers, we have a moral obligation to stay within the confines of biblical teaching.....harmonious settings and Spirit led.
I have difficulty with some of the music labelled as Christian, when the tones and sounds follow world systems.
We are to come out from among the world system.
If we love the worlds system, the love of the Father is not in us...says the Word.
I believe when Lucifer was cast from heaven, music also fell with it....he was the main musician in heaven...Ezekiel 28:13 KJV
A good book and teaching is from Lemar Boschman....called "The Rebirth of Music"

The Psalmist David, hired skillful musicians to play in the temple and courts 24/7.
David was known for playing the harp. His heavenly music quieted King Sauls demons. He was hired as King Sauls assistant to play the music when he was tormented with demons.
God is not against tempo and dance....contrare....David danced with all his might before the Lord and all Israel, in the streets....
Davis hired drummers, harpists, cymbal players etc.....
There is a difference between music that is annointed from the Spirit and music labelled as Christian reflecting the worlds system and secular artists.
I guess it is all a matter of what is in your heart.....for out of the heart, the mouth speaks and however a man thinks .....so is he.
