All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

PROVERBS 10:24-25
24 What the wicked dreads will overtake him;
what the righteous desire will be granted.

25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone,
but the righteous stand firm forever.

JESUS taught us that a man who builds his life on worldly ways is like a builder building a house on sand. HE said that instead, we should build our life on a solid foundation, on HIM. When we do that the storms of life that come against us will pass and we will continue to stand.

JESUS is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. HE and HE alone is the source of our righteousness. When we have HIM for our foundation we cannot be overtaken by the worldly dreads or storms. And, as promise after promise is seen in the WORD, He will provide and never forsake us.

Anyway, that’s my take on it and I’m sticking to it!

GOD bless ya’ in the name of JESUS,

John

PS: please pray for Alicia and her husband, Rick, Rosa, and Patty Ann. Thank you.

Dear John,
I couldn't agree with you more! My experience has been that not only will He provide and never forsake...but also when the storm passes,(in my experience) I am better in some way, shape, or form having gone through it. I had a last straw moment, so to speak, when my home burned and we lost everything including our beloved pets. Things mean nothing...I can say that with sincerity. I learned very much from that experience as well as all of the others.
Thank you for sharing.
In Christ,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,

You are right about being stronger when the storm passes. That's the result of our walk with CHRIST. Many secular people who have gone through what you've experienced would end up angry, bitter, and cynical. But for those who have been reborn into CHRIST JESUS, it's an opportunity to bring GOD glory and show our faith.

The WORD says that "all things work for the good to those who love the LORD". I believe that Scripture is about faith when going through those "all things". We were put on this earth to glorify GOD. How you, as a Christian, handle those those things, good and bad, is where the "rubber meets the road" when it comes to showing your faith and bringing Glory to GOD. That's the good, the Glory we bring to GOD, I think that scripture is talking about.

GOD bless you Debbie. I love you my sister. Sandi and I will be praying for you and your family.

In CHRIST,

John

Dear John,
Thanks for your response...too often people forget who is in charge. When a storm comes my favorite scripture is 2Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christs sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Also Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
During trials...we are never alone...and He has good plans...
Thanks again.
Blessings
Debbie

It's good to know we have a loving God who is always in control. Isn't it? Trials do make us stronger and they allow us to place all of our trust, faith and hope in Him for His glory. Yes, they are a blessing in disguise!

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
