What's the reason those just coming to know God are told to read the book of John first?

Jesus is portrayed as the God of love, and the love of God is more easily understood by reading 1 John as well as John and when you become to understand the Love of God then you are well on your way

The Gospel of John focuses more on the deity of Jesus Christ. Whereas the other 3 synoptic gospels tells about Jesus' life, sayings and miracles.

i always wonder why. well i guess that's where i ll be for a while. because i need to understand his lord so i can easily receive all his love , so i can boldly with confident tell the enemy back off when he tries to mess with my mind. thsnks
