let's go The Word for instruction in righteousness

Ephesians 6:10-19 (King James Version)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

in His Grace

Hi, Paige. I agree with Carla. Negative thoughts are put into our mind by satan, to try to draw us away from God. I can give a personal example. I was driving to Albuquerque NM from Denver CO. I was at the state line, antering into New Mexico. If you have never been in the area, there is a somewhat long expanse of bridge that curves, wth a drop off on the right side. I was driving along, listening to Casting Crowns, singing with the music. I was having a great time. Suddenly, I was bombarded with thoughts of how easy it would be to just drive off the road, and die. I started thinking about my friends and family, and how they would be better off without me. I was crying. Then a little voice inside me said "This is not true. Everyone needs you. God LOVES you. Get these thoughts out of your head" Our wonderful God stepped in and made me see what was happening. Pray about it when you have these thoughts, and give them to God. He will help you understand and eliminate them. Ask Him for forgiveness and guidance, and tell satan that you belong to God, and he (satan) can't have you.
