I came across one of there sites the other day, they seem to think that christians are all crazy.I found the whole thing sad.what do you guys think about athiests?.God bless.
I've encountered lots of atheists. Some are "die hard" and seem impervious to reason (accusing us of that LOL!). Others are just very skeptical about God. I can see why, they look at all the horrible things that happen (especially those done by religious people) and ask what kind of God lets that happen. Others think that science has made God redundant.
I think we need to love them, and live the gospel. Knowing why we believe what we do is important. One atheist once said I was one of only a few Christians he'd ever met who could explain what he beleived, and why I think he's wrong. I'm not saying that to "blow my own trumpet", but just to say, if that's true - what an indictment on Christians that is.
The biggest thing to remember is that atheists are not unreachable - Jesus is bigger than any objection anyone has! He really is the answer! We have a couple of ex-atheists who recently started at our Church - one was recently baptised!
Before I became a believer, I cursed God and I hated believers. Before I knew the creator, I believed in evolution and loved things of death. It is the nature of sinners to sin - they are fulfilling their job description.
What is the job description of the believer? To be vessels of mercy and the grace of God to a lost and dying world.
We ought not be offended by atheists; rather pray for them, bless them and overcome evil with good.
Please keep praying for these people.... My oldest son was raised by Atheists (his Father and Grandfather) and I thought that I had lost him to Satan, Drugs and Gangs for ever. I kept praying and praying for him and did not give up. And this past Sunday Dec. 20th I watched him be Baptized and he also has plans to get in-valued with the Church and a street ministry. There is nothing that God can't do.
