Thank you Carla...great feedback...I just wanna to find out the best way to have God Here your pray. I wanna feel that God is listening. I Want God do make me one of his most trustworthy soldier. But I guess the task is not for everyone. It makes me frustrated and angry. To tell you the truth...I am tired of praying...I don't think God is actually listening...I think we all have to be really clean of our sins and after been clean you have to be able to maintain that trust we God...And it makes it the hardest job. There is a passage on the Bible that says "it is easier to make a camel go through a nedlle's hole , then men get in heavens". I think that is what is says there...but is very scary...way too many temptations on this life. But I still want to learn how to pray...what really makes God hear us...what...
God heres ALL prayers there is nothing that you can do to alter God hearing your prayers, you may not be able to hear Him clearly because you may have alot of other things going on in your head, you need to refocus and focus on Him, get into your word, its your lifeline, and also it may depend on what you are praying on, that God is just syain no, it may not even be that He isnt answering you, He may have answered already, He said we would be without need, not without wants, and i can tell you this from experience rico i am a sinner, i struggle with sin everyday, and lots of times i fail, makes me sad but then i get filled with joy because i remember God loves me regardless, He knows the intent of my heart and i push forward and get into my word to remind myself how much he loves me
P.S you are already a soldier of Christ, get into your word and learn how to use your weapons!!Make yourself a living sacrifice of love, charity, kindness and wisdom to everyone...and make sure your sincere, pour your heart out to Him, cry out to Him, as paul washer best put it, imagine the pits of hell are about to swallow you up and cry out to Him and keep crying out to Him, until He comes to you.
P.S.S Also i heard recently that we should not only tithe money but that we need to tithe our time with God to and spend at least 10% of our day in commune with Him also which is about 2.4 hours you can round that off to 2 and a half hours, imagine as if you are talking on a phone with your best bud, you are building up your friendship with every convo, its the same thing with God, you have to build up that relationship and dial Him on the main line so to speak and you can pray while reading your bible or listening to inspirational music and if you dont have any download some annd fast lol, i hope this helps

thank you Charlene...it did...and it makes lots of sense...If I can spent hours talking to a friend...why can't I spend time talking to God...I will from now on dedicat time with God...Even tell him my stupid joke...will try to be as myself as I can...I think my problem is, I create this wall between me and him...a wall of fear and or respect...but I will remove the wall and just be myself.. Will try that and will let to know if things are getting better...thank you...Rico.
I am being led to also tell you to still hold that same reverence and fear for God, but dont let that keep you from speaking with Him but respectivly and ask Him to send His Holy Spirit to come and show you how to pray more efficently, and when 5 minutes of prayer seemed liek a strain soon 30 mins wont be enough. But hold Him in the same respect if not much MORE than you would having a conversation with a parent or someone who is in a Higher position than you, The plus is that God knows everything already so its not like you can tell Him anything that will shock Him, just be sincere and humble and submit yourself to His will
Rico,
Hi, i'm nobody...that doesn't know much, but this message comes from a 'sincere heart':)
If you want God to make you a trustworthy soldier...then He has put that in your heart. Don't get tired of praying, God listens to every prayer-has a plan(His plan). And He NEVER gets tired of you and Never gives up on you...don't give up on Him. Your sins have been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus...don't let it be in vain. God loves you and wants you to love Him...He also wants ALL of your problems! He won't take them...you have to give them to Him. God knows who you are He knows who I am, He knows everyone. He knows our hearts. Why not be yourself? You can't hide 'you' from him...fear of God is a good thing! Prov 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. There is no wall....faults,flaws,sins, He already knows. When you ask for forgiveness, and know how much God really loves you those things won't be on your mind...they are of the world. The enemy lies, kills, destroys...however,firmly planted In Christ, the enemy is all bark and no bite. He can still tempt, but with wisdom to decipher what is not from God, you have control over the enemy and your thinking changes.
God's hidden wisdom is available to those who seek it...to those who truly live in the fear of the Lord. God has wisdom for every situation, He is generous and wants to give it to you. But...you have to give him "all of your excess baggage" that you don't need, it's weighing you down and "Praise The Lord"...HE WANTS IT...give it to HIM> You can't do His work while you are carrying heavy load that isn't yours to carry.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I WILLL strengthen thee;yea,I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
While you searching God is teaching you valuable lessons along the way:) You will begin to 'KNOW' His voice. (personal note my husband said.."if I pray I don't know what to say", I said "He knows that, pray for Him to guide you in prayer")
sincerely from my heart,
In Christ
Debbie

I am being so amazingly blessed today by all the posts I read. Is funny how 2 days ago they could have had little to no impact yet today they give me chills and hope and a message!!!
Hi Debbie.. What a beautiful message you have written here... The Lord gave me a dream about my husband. It was an insight to how he doesn't know how to pray.. the dream was this:
He was sitting at our kitchen counter with his head in his hands...with his head bowed down low...when he looked up he was crying..and very distraught..in the dream he said "I don't know how to pray, I need your help".
..well this is amazing because my husband doesn't know the Lord. When I woke up from that dream I felt so encouraged that God is working...even though I can't 'see' any effects just yet!
We live by faith and not sight!
That is why all of our prayers for eachother are so important also. Sometimes people are just not able to pray through whatever they are going through.
Eph 6:18 Eph 6:18 Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere. after we have armed ourselves with God's armor eph 6:10-17
God will prompt us to pray for certain people, when they pop into our minds..I hope we will all be obedient and just lift that person up to the Lord.
It's so great to have you here. Love and Blessings in Christ, Carla
Let me re-assure you that it is very normal to go through times of doubt and questioning regarding your faith, at times we all question if God hears our prayers. That is not a place any of us wish to be...but in this sinful world we are still fighting against the flesh. God is FAITHFUL, even when we are faithless--
Rico, the other truth is that we cannot trust our feelings...they are based on circumstances in our life, and not on the Truth of God's Word. He remains Faithful even when we are faithless.
I was reading in Genesis this morning.. Do you have your bible with you? Open it to Genesis 19:26. The context is that Sodom and Gemorrah are being destroyed....There is so much going on here, ...but I want to point out vs 26 ...
But Lot's wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt.
In my quiet time with the Lord this morning, I just thought...how often do each of us do that....so I prayed about it... I told God I am sorry. God has done so much for me...but yet in this battle against the flesh...and temptation, we all look back longlingly at sin...sometimes. We need to repent. Turn away from that sin....God helps us... It is by His Strength. HE plants the desire in us to please Him. Then ask for his forgiveness.
Lot's wife was unwilling to be obedient. She made a choice, as we all make a choice.
Here is a prayer you may want to say.
Heavenly Father,
Forgive me for looking back on sin longingly at times.. I turn away from the desires of this world Lord, and I continue to turn towards You. Forgive me Father. Lord please make all sins detestable and repulsive to me. Help me to see them as You do Lord. Father, cleanse my heart and soul as you see fit, remove all things that are not from You and replace that empty space with Your Holy Spirit. Father God, I cannot move forward without Your guidance, so knowing that, I surrender to You Lord Jesus---I claim You as Lord of my life in all things. Father strengthen me to be obedient so that when you are moving forward I am obedient to Your Will and not my own. Help me Father to NOT look longlingly back on sin, but to move forward in Faith, Hope and Love--trusting in You completely. Father, remind me to not complain, but to be thankful in all things and circumstances and to lay my burdens down for You. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, and taking my punishment upon Yourself. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen
Matthew 6:24--"....no one can serve two masters" This is in the context of choosing money over God...how often do the things of this world cause us to turn away from the Lord?... That's a scarry thought.
oh ...by the way....this verse you quoted: There is a passage on the Bible that says "it is easier to make a camel go through a nedlle's hole , then men get in heavens". continues to say this "But all things are possible with God"
This is it (it is also in Mark and Luke)...Matthew 19:24-26. Mat 19:24 I say it again--it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!"
Mat 19:25 The disciples were astounded. "Then who in the world can be saved?" they asked.
Mat 19:26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible." (italics mine)
Rico, not be discouraged. You are not your own Savior...stop relying on yourself! Rely on God for all things!
