How can a good God send people to Hell

I have friends who cannot believe in a God who sends decent people, maybe any
people, to hell.

Any ideas of what I can say?

GOD made Hell for Satan, not the devil. The devil is what we create within ourselves by doing the same sin over and over again and not repenting . GOD hates repetion. Repentance is THE KEY.

A: Here are some things to consider:
(1) God has given all people enough evidence to know that he exists.

"...What may be known about God is plain to them [people], because God has made it plain to them. "There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God." (2Timothy 3:1-4)
(3) Therefore, God is giving people what they want.

God wants all people to be rescued from their sins and know His truth (1Timothy 2:3-4). He desires all to repent and come to know him (2Peter 3:9). However, the Bible also reveals that God does not force Himself on people. He allows people to reject Him even though He doesn't like it. God is love (1John 4:16), but God allows people to reject His love, and to remain in their sins.

There will be a judgment of all people, where all people will be presented before God's throne (Rev. 20:11-13). Anyone whose name is not found in the "book of life" is thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15).

God told the Israelites, "I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19). In a way, that's the choice before all of us: the blessing or the curse, life or death, God's love or God's wrath.

It seems illogical to some that God could be loving and wrathful at the same time. However, much of God's character is beyond our comprehension. God's wrath and His love are compatible, even if in a way that we do not currently comprehend.

Even though we don't fully understand it, the decision is still before us. God says that we all deserve his wrath and judgment, even at this very moment. Jesus plainly said, "...unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins" (John 8:24). But He welcomes everyone to turn to Him for forgiveness, even at this very moment, so that instead of being condemned by him we can be forgiven and reconciled to him. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life" (John 5:24). We are made for eternity. The question is where are we going to spend it? God gave us the free will. He want us to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Although God is love, He is also a God of justice. Although Hell is made for the devils, God cannot do otherwise if we really want to go there. How? By not accepting Jesus Christ our personal Lord and Savior. The only way we can go to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Ways other than that will surely led us to Hell.

I just wanted to add my thoughts to this. Simply, I have a problem with a just God sending people to heaven. Why would God love us when we don't even love Him and sin everyday? Hell is the rightful place we deserve. Heck, we sin so much that by the end of our life, we can't imagine why would Jesus love us. However, that's the whole basis of our Christian faith. He loves us unconditionally and has saved us. So it's grace. Basically, unmerited favor or love that we are going to save. Otherwise, we rightfully deserve where we are going.

The choices we make determine our destiny. It really comes down to that and always has. As others have stated, you don't have to qualify God and what God has proclaimed, mankind must be in obedience.

Well if there are people who don`t believe in God then they will go to hell my tutor is a non believer and he does not believe in God please pray for him that he will become a christian and that he will be in heaven with God please pray for him I don`t want him to go to hell I like him so much I want him to become a christian please pray for him

These friends of yours have a very good point. I don't believe God is going to throw people into a burning fire where they will live forever and ever in torment. The fact is, the Bible doesn't say that is what's going to happen either. What it says is this: Rev. 21:5-8 And the one sitting on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new!" And then he said to me, "Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true: It is finished! I am the A and the Z - the Beginning and the End. I will give the thirsty the springs of the Water of Life - as a gift! Everyone who conquers will inherit all these blessings, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But cowards who turn back from following me, and those who are unfaithful to me, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and those conversing with demons, and idol worshipers and all liars - their doom is in the Lake that burns with fire and sulphur. "This is the Second Death."

You see, it doesn't say anything about being alive in a burning hell, now does it? The truth of this matter is that on The Day of the Lord, every person will be brought before the Lord for one of two things. To receive the gift of eternal life where we are promised to live forever and ever with Him in paradise, or death. That means cut off from life. The definition of "dead" is conscience of nothing. The second death is completely cut off from God, who is the only source of life. There will be no more rememberance of them. So the answer to their question is this. They are absolutely right in their thinking. The kicker is this. Do they choose to serve the living God who has power to raise them from the dead and give them eternal life unimaginable to anything compared to here on earth, or do they choose to turn from serving God and be cast into the lake of fire "hell" where there in no chance to go back and change what they did in their lifetime here on earth. That day is coming and we all will go before the thone of the most high God. What happens from there depends completely on what we did here on earth. The benefits of believing in Jesus and obeying the Word of God in this life here on earth are incredible! The power of the Holy Spirit amazes me everyday when I see mountains moved and people healed from sicknesses that confound the medical society. Jesus said we would do greater things then He did and brother it's happening all around this world right now. Lay the truth on them and let the Holy Spirit take it from there. When someone tells me the won't believe because of the "hell" thing. Man I take them down a path they never knew existed and you can do the same. Praise Jesus when the truth shines through!

BUT GOD GAVE US FREE WILL SO TO GET INTO HELL YOU HAVE TO BREAK THE WILL OF GOD! PEOPLE SEND THEMSELVES TO HELL FOR NOT ASKING FORGIVENESS FOR THEIR SINS AND ACCEPTING GOD'S SON. God loves us so much that He would never impose on us, it will always be our choice to follow Him or not, to follow Him means to go to His Kingdom and not to follow Him would be not to go to His Kingdom.Anyway a person who does not enjoy God's company would never be happy in His Kingdom, so He does not force them to be with Him for eternity, God is a very just God.

Ask yourself. Do YOU believe your Father wants to send you to hell?

Our Father sent the most precious thing in his kingdom, to teach you about his true nature.
Knowing that because of our wicked nature, that we would destroy him (Jesus Christ his only son).
This had to be done so that he could prove to us the depth, the length and the bredth of his love.
He allowed us to break the most precious thing he had (his son) so he could show you that THIS is how far he would go to show you how deep his love for us, we could break the most precious thing in is kingdom and he would STILL forgive us STILL love us beyond all measure.. Adopting us as his children and giving to us all the splendor of his kingdom, if only we would accept what he did for us, if only we would believe in his true nature as a loving Father.

What we each face every day is because of the wicked world we live in.
Because Adam and Eve believed the LIE that satan told them about our Fathers nature, they believed satan and because of the lie they believed in, they where believing in the very nature of satan. The destroyer!!...if the destroyer has been lifted up as king of the earth by way of our belief in his nature, and as such is runing amok in this world.(but for the grace of our Father who holds his hands on our lives to give us every chance to know is true nature) ..where does the world end up?

We ere given free choice to believe in either our Fathers nature or in the very nature of Satan.
What adam and eve did is believe in the nature of Satan, thinking that the nature that satan was trying to convince them of was the nature of our Father, as a Father who would not provide them all that they need to be happy and well.

Threre are concequences for our choices.
If we touch fire we are burned...if we believe and follow the ways of satan we will get VERY burned.

Not because God our Father unjustly sent us there, but because our feet walked us to the very gates of hell dispite our Fathers calling us and giving us EVERY opportunity to turn from our belief.
Follow the ways of the Father you go in one direction, follow the ways of Satan, how can you expect to go that same direction??

There is only one way and that is the narrow road, if you walk on the wrong road, you will not get to the destination you wish you could. And that is not God our Father sending you there, that is your own choice.

While you have breath he has given you every warning to turn around, as any good Father. Not to say I will punish you and send you to hell!! but to say to you MY DEAR CHILD I SEND MY SON TO DIE FOR YOU, I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IMAGGINALBE TO GET YOUR ATTENTION AND SHOW YOU THE RIGHT ROAD AND YOU ARE GOING THE WRONG WAY TURN AROUND!!

He is mighty to save, but he will not go against your free will, you make your choiced by voting with your feet.
