All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have friends who cannot believe in a God who sends decent people, maybe any
people, to hell.

Any ideas of what I can say?

23 Minutes in Hell - Bill Weise
This is an incredible Testimony of Bill Wiese and his 23 Minute Trip to Hell. Bill was placed in Hell not as a casual observer, but as someone who was not saved. He recounts all the horrid details with such precision that it captivates the listener from start to finish.

I believe that hell is the absence of God, if in this life if we don't choose Him and His gift of Jesus that leaves hell which is the absence of all that is good which is God.

YES GOD IS LOVE,BUT AS L.T.SAYS THERE ARE OTHER SIDES TO HIM JUST AS THERE ARE MANY SIDES TO US. WE KNOW IT SAY "VENGENCE IS MINE" SO GOD CAN BE A GOD OF VENGENCE. IT SAYS HE IS SLOW TO WRATH.WHICH SHOWS HE IS A GOD OF WRATH. SLOW TO ANGER. WE KNOW THEN HE CAN BE ANGRY. IT ALSO SAYS IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF A LIVING GOD!!!! MY COUSIN ,WHOM I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART AND KNOW HE IS A CHRISTIAN. I HAVE HEARD HIM TELL MANY NON-CHRISTIANS NOT TO WORRY AS THERE IS NO HELL! I HAVE QUIETY INTERUPTED TO TELL THE PERSON THERE IS A HELL,BUT IF THEY ASK FORGIVENESS AND ASK JESUS INTO THEIR HEART THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY BOUT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I THINK IT IS DANGEREOUS TO TELL PEOPLE THERE IS NO HELL! OH HOW HORRIBLE TO BELIEVE WHAT ONE HAS TOLD YOU ABOUT NO HELL,.,DIE AND LIFT THEIR EYES IN TORMENT!!! AND IT WAS A CHRISTIAN THAT HAD TOLD THEM! NOW I DON'T GO ROUND TALKING HELL,BUT SALVATION,THE LOVE OF JESUS,HIS SHED BLOOD,AND BY ASKING FORGIVENESS AND BELIEVING,THEY WILL NOT GO TO THAT TERRIBLE PLACE,BUT I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE THEM THE DANGEREOUS FALSE COMFORT THERE IS NO PLACE OF TORMENT! THAT IS TALKING FALSE DOCTRAINE! JAMIE

God does not send them. They choose to go.

GOD IS LOVE :)

God is forgiving merciful kind loving and good.

The Bible says that He desires that none should perish. He has given us the right to choose.

The sacrifice of Jesus or Hell. It does not get any more simple than that.

I have heard so many true stories of God giving one last chance in the final hour. God is so much more merciful than we know.

Hell was created for the devil and his fallen angels, however, mans sinfulness, and his rebellion open him up for entrance.
God does not send man to hell... man sends man to hell. God does everything within his power, to woo people to him, even giving his own son....on their behalf.

What more would you have him do?

He is a holy God. We do not understand that, since we live in a world full of sin.

There is no sin in God.

This is his world...and we play by his rules.

Your friends beliefs are rooted in rebellion, even though they are not aware of it.

Anyone who chooses to live by their own rules, and snub God.... is living in total unbelief.

Hopefully someone will pray for them... and hopefully at some point, they will see their need.

The Holy Spirit has to bring conviction to them, before they can be saved. Prayer brings him on the scene.

Gods arms are open wide, to anyone who chooses to come to him...he will never turn anyone away.

If they want to live with him, when this world is over....they will have to come to him, his way.

They cannot save themselves....and if they do not accept the sacrifice that Jesus offers, they will be judged by the law, and if we have broken one of the laws...we are guilty as charged. So... unless they are perfect....without sin of any kind.... they best be changing their mind.

God be with you.

You write devil. Satan is the correct word. The devil is what we create inside ourselves by doing wrong and sinning aganist GOD.

So you believe that in Matthew 4 Jesus was being tempted by His own creation within His own mind? You believe that Jesus held a conversation with HImself? Do you also believe that the archangel Michael was dsiputing with his own mind and sin that he had created within himself when disputing the devil over the body of Moses in Jude :9?

Your assertion makes no sense when compared to those Scriptures regarding the devil being "what we create inside ourselves." Either you are wrong or the Bible is wrong. For your position suggest that Jesus sinned because He was tempted by the devil. If the devil is what we create inside ourselves by doing wrong as you suggest, then you believe that Jesus was doing wrong in order for the devil to be there.

Hello dear Nicole ~ The Bible is very clear when it says that OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS is as FILTHY RAGS. So even so called decent people when compared to a Holy and perfect God will not make the grade. EXCEPT they recieve Gods righteousness through Jesus.

God knew that and that is why He came to die for our redemption. ( to save all who would ask HIM for salvation. So that we would be accepted by His love and blood which can not be seperated.

Isaiah 64:6

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

SALVATION IS FROM THE LORD and can never be earned. Only Given by God and recieved as a free gift by each one that would choose to accept His righteous and blessed gift :)

The wonderful news is that He would never turn anyone away no matter what.

Dear Nicole,

We are saved by faith thru trusting Jesus Christ as our Savior! No one is good, or decent as you say.
Rom 3:10 As the Scriptures say, "No one is good-- not even one.

We are saved by faith.. and we must stand in The Righteousness of Christ...we do not have our own!

Rom 4:1 Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What were his experiences concerning this question of being saved by faith?
Rom 4:2 Was it because of his good deeds that God accepted him? If so, he would have had something to boast about. But from God's point of view Abraham had no basis at all for pride.
Rom 4:3 For the Scriptures tell us, "Abraham believed God, so God declared him to be righteous." [fn]
Rom 4:4 When people work, their wages are not a gift. Workers earn what they receive.
Rom 4:5 But people are declared righteous because of their faith, not because of their work.
Rom 4:6 King David spoke of this, describing the happiness of an undeserving sinner who is declared to be righteous:
Rom 4:7 "Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight.
Rom 4:8 Yes, what joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord."

God's standard is perfection! His definition of perfection in perfect Holiness is not the same as ours! as a matter of fact, we don't even know what that might mean. I believe..that one day...those of us who trust in Jesus and in Him alone, will understand fully the work that Christ has done on the cross...for all humanity!

Clinging to the cross... Blessings, Carla

Thinking about this verse ~

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

God's grace is popular, but His wrath is not.He who believes in the Son has eternal life, and he who does not obey the son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

Well He does. But don't worry. The gift of GOD is Eternal Life. And read your Holy Bible about the worm eats the worm.

Winston Blanke

P.S.- I don't want to be in that worm, do you?
