Thank god, we are not alone in our struggles….. we are never alone……
God is always always…..always……always …..on our side….. yes & amen.
Sometimes, life can overwhelm us… sometimes…. the enemy of our soul can weary us….. sometimes…he can bring the strongest of us….. to the brink of giving up….
But, praise god….. when the enemy comes in……….(.period)
Like a flood……the lord will raise up a standard against him……
Yes & amen…. thank you lord, for your promises…… thank you for rescuing your childen….when we have done all we know to do, stand….is your word.
Help us, enable us….to stand. firm…in the face of adversity….in the face of enormous pain, or frustation, or lack…. or defeat…. or despair……or depression…..all of the evil that can come against us….
Drive it out….lord, and away from us… each and everyone of us…. lord, we all need breakthrough…..the battle is hot lord….and getting hotter every day….
But, we know that we know that we know in whom we have trusted……
Yes…and amen….the name that is above every name…..
The lord jesus christ……. the king of all glory…….. the lord of lords….
And the king of kings….. the alpha and the omega……the beginning and the
End….. i am that i am……. the god of abraham….isaac and jacob…..
The rose of sharon….. jehovah jirah…. my provider……..
Lord…. we know that you are on our side, even though waves and waves of adversity have come against us time and time again… but…you have been there for us in every situation….. we are not alone.
We have not been left without hope….you renew our hope constantly….. you help us to rise up….and shake off everything that comes against us….

We believe you lord…for all the blessings that you have for us….open the windows of heaven…..and pour our blessings that we are not able to contain…..

God wants control of our money…..and if we are holding a tight fist on it…..that is all we are going to get. we must be willing to release….what god asks for, in order to walk in obedience to his word, and his leading, to receive his blessings…
This reminds me of a story i heard once, about a monkey…. and a cookie jar…. the monkey wanted a cookie from the jar…and it was within reach…..so, he reached into the jar to get his cookie…however, he decided that instead of one cookie…he wanted a whole handful… (he got greedy ) and he grabbed as many cookies as he could get in his hand… and was well on his way to a feast…
However…
Because his hand was full of cookies…and he was clutching them with all his might….
He could not remove his hand from the jar!!!!!!!!!!
Can you see that picture?
Here he is…. with a cookie jar full of cookies… and his hand is full to overflowing with the cookies that he so desires….
Yet…he cannot get his hand out of the cookie jar…. why?
Because he refused to let go.
Do not be like the monkey….
Hold to money lightly….. or loose it all.
This is gods word for today…and tommorrow….and every day thereafter.
Gods word does not change…………………………………….
Everything that we receive from god….comes from faith.
But.
He also asks something of us.
He gives us salvation…..
But, everything else is going to cost us …….
Read the tiny word that packs a huge punch…..
Time and time again…in gods word…..
And what is that?
The tiny little word…..if…..
Notice this word…..
Pay attention to this tiny….tiny…. little word….
Almost hidden it is soooooooo tiny.
But, boy….does it pack a big punch.
Man…. this little word….is the key to our blessings……

If you do what i command you.
In other words….
God is asking for our obedience.
This is the key….
And if….points us to that key.
If
We do what god tells us to do,
Then…..and only then…. we will be blessed.
Salvation comes by faith…..
Blessings come thru obedience.

Will someone please tell this rogue, that God's blessings and favours can NEVER BE BOUGHT!

"But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." Acts 8:20

Rod Parsley's statement, that God will activate Psalm 23 in my life because I am willing to give $23.00 to Rod Parsley, is absolute blasphemy and will be dealt with, when he stands before the Judgement throne of God.

What people don't realise, is that there are millions throughout the world listening and watching him at that moment. If only 43,500 people are suckered in to sending him $23.00 he will be richer by $1,000,500 than he is now.

It must also be remembered, that this message is viewed on different channels throughout the world at different times. Therefore the amount given above may well be doubled or trebled.

I wonder if it has also been noticed, that these millionaire TV Evangelists, all follow each other. If one is seen on TV feeding "poor little African kids in Africa", then next week the other "Evangelical Stars" can be seen doing the same, but only for that one occasion

Last time I listened to Parsley, he wanted money to help him "End the scourge of abortions". There has never been a report back from him, on abortions since. It must be understrood that the topic "Abortions" was simply cooked up for further financial gain. Every time he comes on TV, I ask myself: "OK what price are we going to be asked to pay, for what ever else you have cooked up this time?"

Finally he calls these payments "A love Gift". Parsley knows that there are millions of desperate people out there who are really overwhelmed by debt etc; Desperate enough to clutch at any straw offered them, and thinking: "Hey! $23.00 isn't that much for us to risk is it? Just look at what we will gain." Following that thought, Rod Parsley laughs all the way to the Bank. - With the words of the Apostle Peter: "Thy money perish with thee."

Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn.

Mary, there are many wolves in sheeps clothing who claim to be Christians. Jesus himself warned us to be discerning about those who call themselves prophets, holy men or saints while they are fleecing the flock.

Thank you Ron, for your point of view, however, I have a different take on this or I wouldn't have posted this message. I do not follow Rod Parsleys ministry... but, I do follow the Lord, to the best of my ability, and it was his idea that I posted what I did.

God called Rod...and all the others... and I take his word very seriously...

Touch not my annointed, and do my prophets no harm.

The word of God, says that God calls and equips men and women, and that those men and women belong to him.

It also says that if they are not against him, they are for him, and to leave them alone.

I am like David on this... never will you hear me saying anything about an annointed servant of the Most High.

Now, you are welcome to your opinion... and you are under command to pray for those you disagree with... including me.

God says that he is able to make his ministers stand.

If you pick them apart, then, it is you that will have to answer.

If you find fault in them,you should be on your knees.... interceding for them. (my opinion)

Dear Gayla,

I have nothing except good things to say about Rod Parsley. I love what the Lord has done in his life and the life of his family, and how Rod rose victoriously because the Lord is on his side and I believe that God his Father will continue to love him and sustain him. I read Rod's testimony when he was in college and the ugly words that were spoken to him and about him. That is what I love about the Lord Jesus, how He takes the lowly in this life and the insignificant, the ones who the intelligent in this world look down at them, and our Awesome God says something totally good about them.

God bless you Gayla for taking the time and posting this blog and for your faith in God and your love and honor for His word and May our God continue to bless Rod Parsley and protect him from all evil in Jesus name.

My Computer has been out of action for a week or more hence my late reply to Gayla

"Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." Mal 3:18

Gayla, the ability to discern the differences between good and evil, between the righteous and the wicked is not for Babes in Christ or the faint hearted. As Pam well said: "Jesus whipped the money Changers out of the Temple." What was not included by Pam, were the words Christ used as He scolded them " Make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."

When Solomon asked God for the gift of discernment God was delighted. Simply because Solomon valued this above anything else; in order to judge his people correctly 1 Kings 3:9-11

We are further told in Heb 5:14: But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The reply Charles gave is obvious that his learning has given hIm the ability to rightfully discern righteously and like myself and I believe Pamela, not afraid to speak up when what is said by Parsley, namely, the ability to purchase God's blessings of Psalm 23 by sending $23.00 to Parsley. When that and similar unscriptural statements are made, it gives us the authority to discern and to discriminate against the message. Without fear of retribution by God

Again as Pam well said, discernment is a gift. I believe that when this gift is correctly used it is because of Biblical insight and knowledge. It is also a gift that will usually be given to the aged and the bold. Believe me Gayla when I say, that the gift of discernment hurts those who have the gift... It hurts not once but twice. First it hurts to hear God's word being abused knowing that people are being told untruths and will be hurt when acted upon. Secondly it gives no pleasure except that it also hurts to rebuke the bearer of any falsehood. But if we say nothing, then God will judge us along with the rest of the Laodicean Church.

Yes! Parsley knows his scripture, and if this is true then he also knows that God does not support his claim that sending Parsley $23:00 will give the sender Psalm 23 blessings. This will not find scriptural support, therefore despite this Parsley deliberately chose this path to "Con" people.

I am accused of Judging God's anointed and without any show of Love..... Gayla, when a man is truly anointed by God, no one, I repeat no one, will have a need to be discriminative, except if he was an imbecile or had no clue regarding God's Word. I have listened to Parsley far too many times, to have any patience with him. First of all I think of Peter's words to Simon. Simon was a Believer and was even baptised, but wanted to purchase the Apostles' gifts. Peter's words to him were: "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Acts 8:20.

Would you accuse Peter of being judgmental without any show of Love towards Simon as well?

The Church is indifferent to, too many things. We have let things slip an slide, stood by and watched, have done nothing to rectify and have finally reached the discription given to the church at Laodecia.

Television Evangelist's, many of them are millionaires, some even have their own jets.
Think of this, Paul,s funds were received from his trade of "Tent maker" that he continued to practice
during his missionary journeys.

this reminds me of an old lady who passed away two years ago. she was a christian, belonged to a pentecostal church , when she retired from her job, she was told by her pastor to invest all her money in some business the pastor was into, first it was herbal medicines, when that failed, it was miraculous water, then healing machines and eventually gold digging in the mountains. of course the endeavours, made her bankrupt. as she was suffering from a kidney desease, she needed maintenance medicines which she could not buy anymore,to cut the story short, she had renal failure because she couldn't afford her medicines and was not taking them anymore, also she kept sending this "stewart " pastor money by selling fruits, because this Pastor Stewart kept sending letters asking for money so that she could be blessed. Eventually, this old lady developed alzheimers too. Now it fell upon her family to scrimp and save to keep her going,but also the family seeing what happened to this old lady grew very very angry and disgusted with her "church". The problem is today , when I try to bring them to God they remember this and turn away....Something is really wrong in a church or pastor seeks money ...

GOD'S WORD ON GIVING

Gods word is clear, when he says, to give, and it shall be given,
pressed down, shaken together, and running over ,shall he cause men to give, unto your bosom.

{This is clearly an admonition from the Lord, concerning this topic, one that requires something of us, and gives us
an expectation at the same time, triggering our faith into action, since that is what it takes to please him, to begin}

It seems that the mention of money has the power to raise hackles. However, when you read Gods word, you see the theme of
giving all thruout it, why is this? Is it because the person getting upset, chooses to not listen to the admonitions given in the word?
I find that when it it time to give, If I listen the Holy Spirit within, I give what he tells me to, and am blessed because of my obedience.

Why then, do some make such a big deal out of money?

Does not the word tell us over and over to give? In everyway possible? Why, then, do upsets come, when a preacher or evangelist,
asks for an offering?

It costs money to run a ministry, and the bible is clear that the workman is worthy of his hire (meaning that the preacher, teacher, evangelist, etc.
needs to be supported by the church. And most of the time, people do what they can and feel led to give, out of love.

Is this due to the abuse of recent years? If so, does that abuse change the word of God, his requirements, his expectations, his laws, and precepts?
I think not, because his word says, that he is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He is the one thing that is constant in our lives, that we can
depend upon, however, he does have requirements of us, and giving is one of them.

Lets look at some of the ways that giving is mentioned in the New Test.

These scriptures paint a portrait of a group, of people who loved one enough that they were willing to
sell everything they had, and bring all the money that came from those possessions, to the apostles,
so that the money could be distributed, as the apostles saw fit.

How do you think that would go over today, and see how it constrasts very sharply, with the above posts,
concerning money.

This chapter shows clearly that it is Gods will to give, without begrudging, what you are giving, for if you do, that is the only reward you will get.
Your blessing will in effect be stolen, if your attitude is wrong, and it is very easy to get into a wrong attitude, on anything, esp. money, since it seems
to be god, to many people, and they base their whole existance on whether or not they have enough of it.... and that reminds me of a little joke, I heard
once that has stuck with me.

A man once had acquired many riches, of which he was reluctant to part, so, he tried to strike up a deal, with the gatekeeper of Heaven,
to allow him to enter, as he had sold all his earthly possessions, and turned them into gold bullion, of which he carried in a suitcase, as
he approached the Pearly Gates.

The angel at the gate, stopped him, saying, noone is allowed to bring anything into heaven, as everything that was allowed, had to be sent
beforehand, however, this particular man, was very insistant, in trying to bring his suitcase full of earthly treasure, thru the gate.

Finally the angel got curious, and asked the man, if he could see inside the suitcase, to see what valuable thing this man, was clinging to
so strongly. The man set his suitcase down, and opened it, so the angel could see.

When he did, the angel stood back in amazement, and asked the man, "Why on earth did you want to bring pavement for ? ."

{Jesus was judged, and found guilty.........by the very ones he came to minister to, how is it any different today? What man or woman of God, has not been tarred & feathered by Gods own, that are supposed to love and pray for him/them? }

I assume that in your lengthy discussion listed above, you are talking about the giving and supporting the church with Tithes and Gifts. I don't think that any Born Again Christian would reject that argument. We all know that a Church cannot survive without finances, just as finances are needed for gospel promotions etc, therefore I believe that we must give as instructed by the Lord and often times there will be a need to give more than simply a tithe.
So considering the above I think we all agree with you. YES! Give and Give till it hurts as they say.

But! Your original input, your first opening of this discussion was about Rod Parsley, a TV Evangelist telling his Listeners, that if they wanted to receive the 23 blessings spoken of in Psalm 23, we would have to send him $23.00. May I say again: "What rubbish!"
It was this appeal that I and others disagreed with, it was and is an unscriptural demand and obviously raised a rejection from mature Christians who took the time to read and reply to it. Our reply in no way rejected the Biblical call to give and support the church but rather the greed of one TV Evangelist who overstepped his authority and the Scriptural call for support to the church and her requirements to promote the gospel.

Finally I would say that there are some Christians who regularly place their "tuppence" worth in the Sunday Offering. I don't think they fully realise what it costs to operate a church.

{Ron, this started, when you and Pamela, read into this post, in a wrong spirit. You in effect cancelled the blessings, that I was trying to release}

{You obviously, both have issues, that you need to deal with, however, I would greatly appreciate it, if you would do so on your own post, as your ideas greatly differ from mine. I would remind you also, that many baby Christians are on this site, and your words, can do great harm to them, if you are not very careful. }
