All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Are we worshiping God when we go to church or are we worshiping man?

Hello sisters, and brothers.
I have found in the years of being a Christian, growing in the Lord, being in one ministry or another, serving and attending other churches, I have seen the same thing go on, and it disturbs me. I was in the world, and in the world, I tried to be accepted in one way or another. In fact all my life. Well, it took me 28 years to realize that fitting in isnt important. That who you are is important an that who you are in Christ is important. Well, then why is it that going to church and being who you think you are in Him,sometimes isnt accepted. Why am I seeing that certain people just dont fit in to this group or that group. Or they dont go to that group as much as they SHOULD. SHOULD this, and SHOULD that....I am really hurt by this, and i know alot of people that want to leave the faith because of this. Help me

In the church I pastor our goal is to operate as a hospital. People are hurting and need help. Our doors are open to any and all people. Our goal is to introduce them to Jesus (Salvation)' to heal the hurting (physically, emotionally and spiritually); To equip the believer (discipleship); Send the equipped out to meet real needs and to introduce people to Jesus that they may be healed, equipped and then sent.

When you find the right church you will not feel like that. Not all churches are as you describe. You must seek until you find the right one. Do not give up. finding the right church is worth the search.

Lord Bless,
LT

Hey Paige, Your question just stuck out to me and it fell on me to try to help, even though we go to church to worship God unfortunately not everyone there is there to worship God! Some are there to gossip, or for fashion, some ppl even think that going to church guarantees them salvation but the biggest truth of the matter is, the fact that we are all just a bunch of humans, and some of us arent functioning or operating on all cylinders and unfortunately it throws the whole balance of the church off, making some ppl feel like outsiders or unapproved of, this is why it is very important to kno who you are in the Lord and to kno His voice ppl are going to always try to sway you but you have to be strongly rooted in your word and measure what they say against scripture if it doesnt fit, then you kno its not truth

1Cr 5:9-13 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with immoral men;not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one.For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you."

, just keep seeking the Lords face and ask Him to show you the meaning behind situations like these and sooner than later the holy spirit will move in and either rebuke these ppl or reveal to you the true meaning for what the situation means to you which is more growth in dealing with your trials. Another thing is real quick trust me you arent the only one who feels diffrent i feel diffrent at times to but i truly believe that God does this so we seek Him first instead of ppl, and Abba always wants to hear our problems or whats going on, so He makes it so He is our only source to turn to at times.

Hello Paige, remember that Jesus was'nt accepted by His fellow Jews during His time! And that they were the ones who put Him on the cross.Don't be discourage my sister. In our daily walk w/ the Lord we will surely meet people and circumstances that will discourage us.Go back to the Bible and find the answers.Don't leave the faith because Jesus love syou and He will take care of you.Just surrender all your bitterness and anger to the Lord.I know how you feel because I was there before,I struggled too but I did'nt let Satan ruled. You will be victorious when you let God lead your life...take care and God bless you

I totally understand how you feel. It would be easier to grow in God if people weren't around. ha ha Only God can love His children so perfectly because He created us. We on the other hand have our work cut our for us as we mature in Him and learn to love others through different personalities, different cultures, different mine sets. One thing I have learned is that we all began the same and though we were raised differently , we are still all children of God and as with our immediate families we have difficulties with our church families we will have the same. It is truly a journey and worth taking because God can really show off as we grow. The more we love Him and yeild to Him we can see others in a different light but still it is not always easy.We are all on diffferent spiritual levels to some worship is everything, and some serving is and to some sitting on a pew is enough. But the only way to grow is to get out there and be all you can be in Him because He will be there for us no matter what. I keep taking the same lesson lately and I too want to get an A but I will keep trying because it is God's love that I live in . God bless you in your journey of being all of you and allowing God to put you were you can best be who He has made you to be. We don't all fit the same, at least I don't think so but I too am on that journey. God bless, Love Carolyn

Hi Paige,
I think you are sensing and voiceing something that is on many hearts, as I feel the Holy Spirit is moving in this area. I understand exactly what you are saying and how you feel concerning this, because I feel the same way, and it grieves me, however, I feel what is worse, is that it grieves the Holy Spirit within us. This is not good.

I think it is very much a part of what God is doing in these last days and hours that we live, to bring us back to a place where his spirit can be in our midst. This cannot happen, where there is division, etc. as God will not show up, when flesh is on the throne.

He is desiring an atomsphere of holiness to return to his house. I think there is a great harvest of souls, that are waiting on the right moving of Gods spirit, to bring them into the fold. I don't think this will happen until holiness returns to the sanctuary and the pulpit.

Too many times, now, we have made merchandise of the things of God, and I see Jesus coming into our midst, with the same whip that he used in the temple, when this happened before. It is the only time, that he shows this kind of anger, in the scripture.

It is his desire, then, as now, that his Fathers house, be a house of prayer.

If it truly were what he desires for it to be, sinners would be drawn to it, in droves, I believe. The fire of the Holy Spirit, would be such that it would truly burn up all the chaff, that is currently present, and the holiness that brought Annias & Saffira down, would return.

Are we ready for this????? If not, I think we need to be preparing, for I feel this is exactly what God is desiring for his church, in this day and hour in which we live. A true return to holiness. A return of the hearts and minds of his people, to be centered entirely on one thing, and that is him.

I think he is beyond tired of the thing we currently call church.

Hi there Paige.....

I am trying very hard to figure out what you are trying to say, and I am assuming that you are dealing with everyday people just like I do. They are everywhere. I finally found my place in Him also, and I found where I needed to be in the church. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was where God placed me. Go to Him. We all have a purpose in this life. He has given each of us specific gifts and we are all different. Don't leave like so many do....Like I almost did. I finally fell on my face and aked Him...What are my gifts? I want them. I want all of them. I can't remember how many are mentioned in the bible but there are a lot. I asked for them all and by golly He is a faithful God. You belong where He says you belong with the special gifts He has given you. I pray that you find which of these gifts these are and you are blessed way beyond anything you could ever imagine. I can feel how much you love Him and how you want to serve Him. It sounds to me like you will be GREAT in His service...... Jenna God Bless You
