In your search for the true and living God may I encourage you to read through the following Scriptures.
RO 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Everyone of us fall short of the glory of God, none are without sin and therefore, none stand before God on their own merits as righteous.
RO 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The wages (payment for) of sin is death. Notice that the word "sin" is singular. It does not say "sins." One sin alone is enough to warrant death. Death often times in Scripture refers to separation from God, and is the point in this verse. Yet, there is hope. There is a gift of God. This gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus.
JN 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "
We must be changed by God. We must be born spiritually through the work of God. We are not just made better, we are literally changed. (Read all of John 3)
JN 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus wants us to know that we cannot find Father God on our own. There is no other way to the Father, but through Jesus. In fact, Acts 4:12 says that there is no other name (meaning Jesus) given by which we must be saved.
RO 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
RO 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
RO 10:11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
RO 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
RO 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Out of the mouth comes the truth of the heart. If we believe in our heart we are truly capable of professing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord. We must not only know He is Lord, but believe and surrender to Him. Verse 13 tells us that all who surrender to Him "will be saved." This means you too. The lie of the enemy is that we are too bad or done too much evil to be saved, when God says just the opposite. Jesus died for us while were are still sinners in order that we may be saved through Him.
2CO 5:15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
This speaks to surrender, not legalistic adherance to the Law. We surrender to Him and live for Him as He lives through us.
2CO 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Again, we are not just made better, but are actually changed spiritually in Christ Jesus. The old is gone and the new has come when we are saved in Jesus.
REV 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks. If you open your heart to Him He will come in and reside in you, and save you. To open the door you must truly believe that He is the Son of God and that He died on the cross shedding His blood as payment for the sin of all who will come to Him.
Binu, Jesus is the answer to your struggle and the Father is the goal of your quest. One can only come to the Father through Jesus and in Jesus one finds forgiveness and new life. This requires repentance (change of mind) and surrender (accepting) to Jesus as your Lord and Savior. His Word is true and His promises are sure. Pray to the Lord to enlighten you to His truth and the reality of His person that you may be saved through Him and therefore find the Father (God) you seek and the salvation you need.
